Glad we didn't sign that Suarez mug. Guy is a cheater and just an overall knob. What he did at the World Cup was disgraceful (and I am talking about the handball! The biting was just embarrassing)

Apart from the fact if we had signed him we'd have won the league and probably have kept bale. I'd have accepted the biting most would've

Intrigued to see who they sign and how they pan out....wonder if they'll have similar hits/misses like we have from his recommendations

I think I can help here. I am reliably informed that he has outstanding connections in Europe and Americas. Told he has a very good eye for a player.

I think this comment is looking bang on the money @Hercules

Foyth and Sánchez are tidy pieces of business and future stars of their national teams in South America.

Plus, we have been very clever in using the situation (and clearly some excellent contacts) at PSG to bring in Aurier and Moura on the cheap.

Good connections indeed! (y)

Must have been the one who got Lookman from Everton, that was so left field!

Ralf Rangnick is still the director of football there, and overall leader of their project, so Mitchell will still be taking orders from him.

Not sure it is. A few young english players have gone to germany now. Especially with our success last year, young english players are seen as some of the best in the world and the germans can offer something that premier clubs don't, first team football.

Was he still recommending players??

I think Foyth was well known by Pochetino. Sanchez played the Europa League Final against Man U. I think he was known enough

I think Mitchell was responsible for most of the french players, the ones we bought and the ones we couldn't buy. Njie, Nkoudou, Bats, Seri, Lemar

Maybe I'm forgetting some links, but iirc all of our south american links were from Argentina, which makes me think they were more by Poch's recommendation than Mitchell. If not, I would've expected a few brazilian links at least

I think he was saying Hitchen has good connections in France and S America.

Hitchen, not Mitchell

He had nothing to do with those players coming in

He was gone almost a year ago
