I think it is imperative that we give Robbo the support he deserves at tomorrows game. This week must have been particularly difficult for him and we can give me a lift from the gloom. Lets not be fickle, and remember that he has been a fantastic servant for our club and all players will encounter a temporary loss of form, may I remind you all that class is permanent.

Yep Robbo's gonna need plenty of support as the West Ham fans will be doing their best to unsettle him.

This is a massive test for Robbo - good luck to him (and Spurs of course :)

I always have and always will be a Robbo backer as he is class!

I think Cerny's recent stint in goal where no clean sheets where kept shows how our defence and midfield haven't been protecting Robbo and Carson's complete crapness for England shows it's not as easy as all these so-called 'experts' in the media reckon!

I mean they mark Robbo down for the sake of it sometimes then poo themself over another English goalie just for making one save look good!

on the contrary, i think carsons exploits in goal this week would have given robbo a massive boost - he shouldn't need too much picking up.

I'm sure Robbos jockstrap will provide him with all the support he needs, and I'm certainly not gonna volunteer to give him a "lift" if it doesn't.

But I will be singing Englands number one tomorrow in his direction, and Englands number six in the direction of Green.

Agree with that. I hope Robbo had a private smug smile to himself after that. Upset for the plight of England of course, but...

I think the pressure on him has been eased by that. He can just concentrate on being his best for Spurs now. It will take just one (typical) stunning save against WHam for him to show just how wrong McClown was - and I am sure Robbo knows that and is looking forward to it.

I'll be at Upton Park tomorrow giving Robbo my 100% support.

Unfortunately he should not be England's No1 and probably shouldn't be Tottenham's number 1 either with all the mistakes he's made.
We'll all be behind him tomorrow but he needs to improve and have a good, solid game.

i think the real robbo is coming back 3 clean sheets in 4 games and the only goal he let in was a 25 yard rocket

I think Robbo has got a lot of unnecessary and undeserved stick. Unless you're being hypercritical, you can't attach major blame to him for any of the goals we've conceded this season until his misjudgement for Arsenal's equaliser, and then the very obvious fuck-ups against Villa.

If you've got an iffy defence no keeper is going to compensate. Just look at Gordon yesterday afternoon. No chance for any of Everton's goals. By the same token, Howard made a couple of errors (at least, if it had been Robbo some of us would have been calling them errors) and was let off by poor finishing.

He's not perfect, far from, and you have to have misgivings about his ability to 'command his area' (as the favourite cliché goes), but I just get the feeling that some of us are being swayed by the slating he's received from the press over his 'howlers' for England.
