Is this the first time Ed Aarons has had any info on this deal so far or have I been missing his tweets? (not being snarky, genuine question)

This guy has been wrong on basically everything involving Premier League transfers all summer. One of the worst.

Yeah, I didn't have to scroll down far to get this:

Still, it's this type of news that does worry me, even if things seem all positive they can just change so quickly.

Seems far too coincidental that the moment Lo Celso to us starts to break we're all of a sudden out of the race or hes all of a sudden not interested. Its literally either 'journalists' banking on us only being able to afford GLC or we've used the whole thing as cover. I still think there is something in it.

I personally see us getting Fernandes Lo Celso and Sessegnon with Ndombele and Clarke signed that's pretty good for us . Dybala is a pipe dream Eriksen i reckon will go on a free transfer next season to Real.

Levy doesn’t bid without due diligence - he wouldn’t go for him if he hadn’t received some encouragement. If Dybala doesn’t come it’s because we’ve moved onto Mbappe or something prob

To be fair, United seemed to have launched a bid/swap deal with Juve without being able to secure a personal agreement with Dybala.

However, I agree it's not like our club to do that, especially with us having little time left in the window to mess around. If we don't sign him, it will most likely have been because this was all a smokescreen, and I'll be massively disappointed.

1. I don’t believe we would have entered negotiations on the fee with juventus until we knew his demands.

2. His agent has been punting him all round Europe since January, so those demands would definitely have been known.

3. Or we were using it as a smokescreen to get lo celso and fernandes

4. Or it’s still on.

I'm wondering if it's this one. The brother/agent wants a big payday and lead us on a bit in the hope we can convince him.

That said we have used this interest for PR before (AIA deal) so maybe it was the smokescreen.

Well at least that is open ended, rather than rejection.

I don’t believe negotiations or a few would have been agreed without the wages being ironed out. Now the way the deal is done or the images rights being a problem I can understand

Why would they ever consider leaking that? They’re surely doing everything to help move him on if they want the sale..

Paint him as a greed bec Juve doesn’t wants to keep him. Just saying

I'd sooner have players like LoCelso and Fernandes who actively want to come to THFC than fuck around with all this image rights and self important bullshit. Betis and Sporting were a pain in the arse but conversely Juve were very amenable.
That’s a bit harsh. Dybala sold the image rights years ago, and has no say in the current issues they’re causing.

Not sure why some look at this as black and white in terms of Levy's intentions. I can't speak for all of his strategy, but obviously if we have interest (genuine or not) in multiple players it helps our bargaining position and it also serves to give us more chances to address our needs with any of the four players he is negotiating with. We would be screaming if there weren't backup plans or if he let us get fleeced. It's just the right thing to do on behalf of the club even if it gets our hopes up and we start infighting about who should be the beauty contest winner.

No, that is awesome especially if we didn't lose Rose or Alderweireld and who the f knows with Eriksen.

Still gonna hold out hope for this, dybala would really take us over the line and make the difference. Don't know enough of bf, GLC or even TN to know how successful they might be but dybala is a great little player and would give us exactly what we miss a lot of the time.
