I do feel sorry for him, had we already signed our main targets he'd be getting a much better reception from us.
Honestly don't understand the negativity for someone who isn't for the first team and isn't for the long term and who we will probably move on in time for more than £2 million.

The most uninspired signing since that Prague keeper we signed when redknapp was in charge years ago. That time we were being linked and Sky were all over harry saying this is his time wheeler dealer man. What will harry pull out of the bag!

Bloody stipe pletikosa or what ever his name was. One dodgy game getting tanked by the goons in the darling cup last we saw of him

This signing will be about the team. Lloris, Vorm and the GK coaches work very closely together. They push each other, support each other and get on very well for the collective good. Poch wants someone he knows that will add to the camaraderie and support the team aspect of things. He obviously knows this guy and thinks he'll be a decent addition. For a keeper he's young with a career to develop so will be keen to learn.

Cannot reiterate enough.
Pochettino and Jimenez have coached this guy every day for almost 18 months during their time at Southampton.
There is obviously something about him that they have seen previously and are happy to have as 3rd choice keeper.
This guy is not an unknown quantity handed to them on the back of a scouting report.

Just came in here to make the point that signing a third choice goalkeeper is underwhelming because I think it's important that somebody says it because I don't think anyone has made this point yet.

Also, #pochout #bringbalehome #dontfullyunderatandhowthisallworks #notkneejerkjustjerk

Agree. The reaction of some on here is just childish.

Never thought he was that great, but Poch has worked with him before so I imagine we would only move for him at Poch's request, and at this point I want that man to get everything he wants, so let's get it done and move on to the next.

Guy is extremely very poor!

I thought so too, but honestly I trust Pochettino to judge a player more than I do myself. If he hadn't worked with him at Soton it would be a little weird. Instead I just want it over the line.

Frankly this link has made me realize I don't give a **** who our third-choice goalkeeper is.

Poor Gazzaniga is probably being kept in a cupboard under the stairs at Lilly White House until we announce someone else first!
