Stewart Pearce has signed a new two year contract with the Under 21's today.

FA chairman David Bernstein pointed to an "excellent" qualifying campaign as well as Pearce's ability to prepare young players for the rigours of senior international football.

Why cant we give someone else a chance now, Pearce has been in the job long enough and never really progressed them at this season's Euros where we looked really boring.

Pearce has a big say in the Senior team, so maybe he can stay there and get someone fresh in to do the Under 21's job.

Shitest manager out, he picks players from the top teams of the PL that don't play for their club over good youth players who have broke in to their teams that play in the championship

An excellent qualifying campaign means nothing after the way they performed in the tournament. Should've been given the boot.

The qualifying campaign and the warm-up games to the tournament itself was actually quite patchy, leading to a pathetic tournament.

Having said that the next age group are likely to be the ones that won the u-17 European Championship in 2010, so at least they are a team of winners.
