Young
Delph
Davies
Robertson

There are arguments that they could have been picked over Alonso, even Chelsea fans are baffled by the decision lol

Alonso was excellent in the first half of the season, and these things are voted for quite early so it shouldn't be that much of a surprise. I think if you took it on the whole season, Robertson would have to be the pick at left back as he's been sensational since the turn of the year, even though he didn't play much before that.

Robertson has only really come to prominence in the 2nd half of the season, the display against City in the league really put him on the map.

Should be Young at LB.

Happy to see Vertonghen finally get the recognition he deserves. Been comfortably the best CB in the league for the last 2 seasons and has been great for us since he arrived. IMO, he’s been our player of the season this season.

Would be interesting to come up with an opposition team who could give them a hard time. With all those attacking players and no cover for the defence I wonder if they would be vulnerable to a more balanced team?

Leroy Sane is nominated as both PFA player of the year and PFA young player of the year but missing from the PFA team of the year.
Would maybe be natural to replace him with Aguero? Since Aguero is not nominated for player of the year?

Anyway, really happy for Jan and Christian!

First time Aguero's been included in his 7 year PL career. Surprised me.

Also how on earth is this the first PL team to include Aguero, or to a lesser degree De Bruyne, incredible...

Aguero has got Pacino - Scent Of A Woman all over it ?

Surprised Firminho isn’t in there as much as it pains me to say it. Either he or Sane should replace Aguero. I’m assuming he wasn’t in it because his teeth blinded all the voters.

This is why I hate these things. Nobody plays a formation like that. A team that picked a midfield three of Silva, De Bruyne and Eriksen together would get annihilated by anyone half decent that could counter. It's like when people try picking their world XI and pick Ronaldo and Messi on the wings in 4-4-2 so they can cram in more attacking players. So intellectually weak. I get that it's probably done by a broad vote for a "central midfield" category, but surely they can have a separate one for the "defensive midfielder"?

Sane should be in there instead of Aguero as has been said already. The rest seems pretty much fair.

It's not real dude, like no-one's gonna sit there and think 'if I play Aguero as a winger he's unlikely to track back and pick up the full back or cover his man' it's just pure fantasy stuff which isn't meant to be taken that seriously.

Im guessing his fantasy teams dont do very well.
