Part One of the mission has been accomplished, Agent Pienaar!

Part Two is doing the same to Arsenal on St. Paddy's Day.

Looked pretty good today. Shame we never got to see that but he has had very limited chances. He is a very handy player and it's great to see how loved he is there.

Was watching MOTD, and he was outstanding for Everton yesterday. A totally different player. What a shame it never worked out for him here.

Sometimes a player just fits a club, he comes to Tottenham and to be fair everyone says why are we buying him and he gets limited chances of the bench. He goes back to Everton and he's a starter and loved by the crowd there.

Pienaar is just a different player for Everton. Think it helps that he seems to have a free role there though. Seems to be playing the same position that Modric has been playing for us in the last couple of games.

Yep, he's looked the absolute tits again. I noticed, even at Everton pre-Spurs he never hit the same heights when he was hunted out wide. Now he's roaming again, his movement makes him very diffcult to play against. Plus he obviosuly just feels far more comfortable at Everton.

he always was a top player - unfortunately, as others have pointed out, he just didnt get the opportunity at spurs due to other players in his position.

Wrong player at the wrong time, or something. We didn't need another attacking midfielder, we needed someone who could cover the wings. Pienaar can 'play' on the wings when you are defensive and looking to hit on the break, and the wide players are expected to roam forward and seek space on the counter. Unfortunately we are a team who will dominate a lot of games and we need more orthodox wingers. The fact Krancjar wasn't getting a lot of games should have indicated to someone that Pienaar wasn't exactly what we needed.

Part of me thinks it was just because Chelsea were after him and he was cheap that we went for him. Its no surprise that his best performance was in the AC Milan away game when we had backs to the wall.

Just always confuses and pisses me off when I think about this one.

I bet Arsenal or Chelsea wouldn't let such a player go out on loan in January. It was like something arrogant that Man City would do yet they obviously have the mega bucks to get replacements in.

Especially when you know players are going to fatigue at around this stage of the season, I just can't get my head around it.

He has been brilliant since he went back to Everton, maybe a case of finding his level but we will never know because he never got a proper chance

It's so frustrating watching him play well week after week at Everton whilst we're struggling. The decision to loan him seemed odd at the time, now it seems even worse.

It seems like Moyes knows how to get the best out of him playing him in a position that suits him, whereas from the moment we bought him there seemed to be no plan or thought gone into exactly where he was going to play or how we was going to use him.

He's not a winger like Bale or Lennon so shouldn't have been regarded as cover for them in a 442/4411.

To me it seems like proper homework was not done on the player.
