For me it's Vertonghen. He's played phenomenal every game. I can't recall an error he's made this season that has led to a goal. He's been the outright leader and anchor of our defense. Not to mention he has played the most amount of games for us in a single season this year.

Eriksen is a close runner up and could convince me he's the POTY by the end of the season. He absolutely runs our offense. Without him, we have a dramatic loss of creativity and fluidity. He's put in great performances in big games as well - Chelsea, Man Utd (H), Juventus

I went for Jan but how awesome is it that in Jan, Harry and Christian we have three players at the very top level for their position?

Amazed it isn’t eriksen. Have shown we could cope without kane. If Alderweireld replaces vertonghen tomorrow would there really be a big drop off ? Eriksen is the one player we can’t do without. For me that means he is our most important player.

Easy choice, Jan has constantly been excellent and I can only think of maybe one or two games were he hasn’t been at his very best. As good and Kane and Eriksen have been I can’t say the same for them. The only reason it’s a debate is because Jan’s job doesn’t entail assisting or scoring goals which are both much more glamorous and notable when reading a score sheet or watching MOTD.

Super Jan. We have to remember that his partner is a 21 year old in his first season, Alderweireld has missed more than half the season, Aurier first season and has made many mistakes, Trippier isn’t a good defender, Rose has missed pretty much the whole season and Davies doesn’t have the pace to cover up all the time. Jan has carried our back line this season.

Eriksen second for me

Vertonghen has been absolutely brilliant all season but I just feel like we simply wouldn't be where we are in the league without Eriksen. Not only has he been superb individually but in terms of his value to the team I don't think he's ever been as important as he is now. We simply don't function anywhere near as well without him in the side.

For that reason he would be my Player of the Season.

But the question is who is our player of the year. Who has performed the best.

For me there's only one player who's been consistent through the whole season and that's Jan. Eriksen and Kane are close, but Jan has been the one this season.

If the question was which player can we least do without, then yeah Eriksen.

Kane will get lots of plaudits for the goals he scores, and rightly so, but Vertonghen has been at a completely differently level of consistency to Kane.

He's often the unsung hero and I feel like he deserves his moment!

Vertonghen for me - he's stepped up and shown an exceptional level in every game this season.

Whilst Kane has been brilliant as always, due to injury, his form has dipped here and there - hoping he shows a bit of sharpness to finish this season and make the call even harder for player of the year.

i've opted for Super Jan this season, I think Eriksen has been great but Jan has been superb and has got better and better as the season has progressed.

Funnily enough this is the first season I would give POTY to someone other than Vertonghen. Eriksen got my vote this time around, but SuperJan has been his typical super self.

Son has been brilliant, Kane has still got the goals even though his form has dropped in the second half of the season.

On a side note, I think that Dele Alli should be in the voting pool. I think he has less highlight reel moments, but arguably better overall performances than he had last season. His game has grown and evolved this season, and he is now so much more than just a "second striker". He is the only player in the top 5 for PL assists this season that doesn't play for Man City. I'm not saying he has definitively been our best player this season, but I feel that he has done enough to warrant being in the conversation.

I've voted for Jan as he's been that good in defence we haven't missed Toby.
Eriksen must also get a huge mention for his contributions as well. Kane is just himself and scores goals for fun but lately has been a bit off form.

:cautious:The poll does seem to intimate that we don't have many Korean members on this site though.:)

Close between Jan and Eriksen. But for me we do not look the same team going forward when Eriksen is not in the team or doesn't get on the ball. Everything we do good creatively seems to come from him. So he gets my vote.

Jan has been solid though and has had a young Sánchez next to him so no complaints if he wins.

Vertonghen, really. Best season since his first. Remarkable how well he's done.

SuperJan, Eriksen, Kane, Sanchez, Son for me.
