Out of our strongest 11 our weakest links (although I'm not saying they are bad players) are our full-backs and full-backs are positions that can easily be improved

Think it's our nature mate!

Like I travel frequently love it but soon as I live somewhere I want to come back to Wales everyone's just friendly here I find

You sure it's not the lack of sheep in North London :cautious:?

But Alan Curtis, who saw Davies’ rise from local rookie to international class act in the space of a season, reckons Davies could get his dream with Spurs.

Curtis said: “I watch Tottenham’s games and I obviously look out for Ben.

“He was always polished on the ball and really accomplished but he seems to have gone up another level again. He has shown for Wales he can play the left sided centre-back and he’s bringing that to his game as well. Playing for Spurs with the season they’ve had has been great to see.

“There’s not many Welshmen with a Premier League winners’ medal and it would be great he could do it – and I do fancy Spurs. They have the strength in depth.”

The difference in quality between Davies and Rose is staggering.

I would upgrade for someone a little more mobile in the summer.

Rose is world class

Poor today but Davis is a fine understudy
I'm not sure he is world class, he is however a really good fit for the way that we play and I'm not sure we can say the same about Davies. However, as a backup he is pretty good. He just looks worse when we swap out everyone else as well.

He's played more games than Rose this season.

Our fullbacks are vital to the way we play and he limits what we can do down the left. Obviously we're not going to sign someone as good as Rose but surely someone with similar qualities would benefit us.

There were very little complaints regarding Davis last season when he regularly rotated with rose.

He like alot of our players have just started really slowly so far

He's capable of playing some good football but he doesn't have the right attributes for what we need at fullback.

And he lacks consistency.

totally agree, but the weird thing this season is his crossing is pretty crap, last season when called upon apart from the Newcastle game he defended well, and though minus Rose's pace, the 1 thing he had in his favour was his crossing

With us playing inverted wide players quite so often, we need pacy full backs to run up the flanks to support the attack. Rose & Walker fit the bill but unfortunately Davies doesn't have the required speed.

I think that if there are any available (and affordable) youngish pacy fullbacks, we might sell off Davies & probably Trippier, in the near future.
