Fucking love this guy. Last night, 91 mins on the clock, the games wrapped up, Lucas falls over after a challenge, Eriksen sees him sprints towards him, pulls him up, and then immediately sprints back to try and win the ball back. What a geez.

Loved that and also for their late freekick, when he was obstructing the ball/standing in front of spot, to deny a quick take at first, and then directing the wall afterwards. Seems to me alot of fans (understandably) miss all the "grown-up" work he does defensively these days, as he seems to still mainly be a creator in most peoples heads.

When he and Moura get some more matches under the belt together I sincirely think they will start running circles on some teams. You can already see how good an eye they both have for the first/early re-presure. When they get a bit better feel for each other offensively as well it will be happy days IMO.

Oh, and on him being a slow starter for the season, I do not think it should be underestimated that he just became a father for the first time during the World Cup - hopefully he will be back in peak fitness condition for the Poool game.

I was quite close to the pitch for the Fulham match (row 7 to the right of the dugout)

He was bossing everyone around and gave one of the defenders an absolute earfull after Fulham scored their goal.
Not sure I've seen that side to his game before, but I think he needs to have that level of responsibility. He is more senior than a lot of players and should be authoritative.

On the other hand, we're halfway to replacing him already what with Trips taking set pieces now.

If I use the brain rather than the heart, then I think this is his final season with us. He has positioned him self to follow the plan he said he had in his mid teens, Ajax -> bigger club (us) -> Barcelona. And he's in his right to do so, he has no obligation to us further than his contract.

I think Barcelona have already decided against him. First Coutinho and now Arthur. Madrid seems more viable but then again with Kovacic coming back at some point, do they need him?

I know he is the key to link the team potentially from deep but his creativity and passing up top is so crucial (his run to create the second goal was brilliant). I honestly wonder if we wouldn't be better off dropping Alli deeper and allowing him some freedom to roam based off our defensive strength.

Eriksen is the only player that can have a shit game bar one assist which was mostly down to Trippier's great pass yet be highly praised for picking a teammate up off the floor. If half of you found him shagging your mrs you would come onto SC and give him a 10 in the match thread for being a great guy. He is so overrated it's crazy, that doesn't mean he's not very good but he is someone who can only be arsed half of the time he is not Barca/Madrid standard, hence why he's at Spurs and none of the top teams have bid for him.

And for those comparing his importance to Kane's, well you're a lost cause.

I'll bite on this one, so you are going to give Trippier credit for the second goal? You do realize Eriksen had served the exact same ball up on a plate to Dele right before the first goal..

Another lacklustre performance, something is evidently not right with him.

Think he's off come the summer, hope I'm wrong.

All the worst bit of Eriksen on display today and none of the good bits.

I lost count the amount of times he ducked out of challenges and bottled tackles. Infuriating.

Alli and Eriksen gets in the the way of one and other as of right now. Eriksen is the player that should be receiving the ball around the final third with space to operate on - not Alli. Alli in turn is world class at finding space in the box, that's where he should be

Eriksen can't play as a secondary CM (...or whatever it is Pochettino is trying) at least not against physical teams like Watford.

I guess this has a lot to do with Lucas. Alli is usually the one to who plays off Kane. I'd like to see Eriksen, Alli and Lucas in the first 11 but Pochettino has some tinkering to do if it's going to work.
