I think Eriksen is a quality player but I dont think he is Real Madrid quality and I think he could quite easily become a bench warmer there. With Modric I never had a doubt but Eriksen just doesnt have that level of consistency, however Id love him to stay.
Don't forget that La Liga is a less demanding league than the Premier League and he'll be playing for a team that expects to have most of the possession and to win 90% of their league games by multiple goals.

Bale has been ravaged by injury and is seemingly disliked by the Real fans for underperforming, but his goal and assist tally would be incredibly impressive by most teams' standards. So imagine what kind of output they could get out of a perpetually fit Eriksen.

Modric actually had an awful first season. Their fans voted him as the worst signing of the season I believe. Quality eventually rose above it.

I think Eriksen would do well at RM given time, that said I'd rather they bought Pogba or Pjanic (and definitely Hazard) instead!

say if that is their mentality so be it move on an let our club move on to someone who maybe just maybe willing to accept what we have to offer .
And how about some of these players that want to go to one of the uber clubs taking a bit of responsibility and saying" I am going to try to take the club that I play for to the top" instead of the usual"I want to play at a higher level" that is just code for its too hard to make the top here so I want a club that is already at the top in essence lack of character and grits.
Whilst I understand their view and your view .I am allowed to take an opposing view.

To be fair to Eriksen he has pretty much said stuff to this effect before. I believe it was along the lines of saying he wants to get to the top level and he hopes Spurs get there as a club. A strong CL run and the new stadium is a big step, but we can't yet compete with the likes of Real Madrid! I genuinely think he'd stay if Madrid weren't so keen on him. ITK has pretty much alluded to this.

He's been a great servant to us and if he does get a dream move to Real Madrid then good luck to him (assuming we get fairly compensated for it). I hope he stays of course but it seems the writing is on the wall.

As for those saying his head isn't in it this year I think it's mainly been a combination of lack of rhythm and confidence as much as anything. It really has been a disjointed season for the whole team.

He's been a top professional for us and he's been a huge part in the new renaissance for this club. If he leaves I'd give him my blessing and wish him well.

I think he would thrive in that league tbh. At Tottenham he has to be a key cog in the shape whereas at Madrid they are more fluid and may loosen the shackles that he has here.

He hasn’t had his best season but is joint top assister in the Premiership. Can’t believe there won’t be interest in him.

Indeed. Eriksen can pick among the elite clubs if he decides to leave.

I find it ironic how all this hate towards Eriksen coincides with him possibly leaving this summer. It's some sort of separation anxiety. It's like that girl who dumped you and now you're making up excuses to why she wasn't good enough anyway.

Eriksen has to repay us all from giving us heart attacks by signing a new contract.

At least he acknowledged he fucked up in the post-match interview. He said he was the luckiest guy on the planet or something like that...
