What the actual fuck?, embarrassing
Okay, shit is a strong word. He is our player and I 100% support him. We all can agree he is not in form of his life. But also we all know what he can do with the ball. Great vision, great passer, always running. He is the guy that we have higher expectations about. He is supposed to go to Real Madrid and he makes the most stupid backpass that could cost us semi final. One bad pass, unlucky, okay - I would understand, really. But he was constantly loosing the ball today. The guy who we all think as our fundamental, most important player? If he is going to play like that for the rest of the season I'm not that afraid that he will go to Real or Barca.

I'm just amazed at the effort to dig him out on a night like this.

Some of his passing to set us on the counter tonight was sublime, he actually put his body on the line (for him, anyway) and he showed for the ball constantly. Yes he made a mistake at the end but, had the city player not deflected it into the path of an offside Aguero, the ball reaches our defender who hoofs it.

He played well. Anybody saying otherwise is blinded by an agenda.

some of you are dreaming - he was pants tonight, gave the ball away so many times. what was he doing when he gave them the ball for their 'fifth' goal?

i personally thought he had one of his better performances overall tonight. yes, he has been below his exceptional best this season, but there were plenty of times when he (and Alli) were the ones who looked like they genuinely believed we would win and were trying to lift the whole team.

For the offside goal, if Bernardo doesnt clip it the ball hits Davies safely and we clear. That's the exact reason that part of the offside rule exists.

Don't go hating on Eriksen tonight. Jeez

I bet he woke up in a cold sweat this morning! Hopefully the kick up the arse he needs to raise his game.

Yeah I know it’s twitter and I thought just another 14 yr olds account. But this 1st tweet since January has 12k followers and 80% of last summer tweets happened. Pinch of salt and all that.

I have no doubt he would potentially agree to a deal that he would sign should Madrid not pursue him but the hard part is signing it...

Possible he/she deletes Tweets which don’t come off? Pretty common in that industry.

Edit: looks like this isn’t the case as there’s definitely stuff there which didn’t happen. But generally a pretty good strike rate.

Must be a reason they have 12k followers who knows.

Do seem to be some rumblings that he might be coming back to the table. Probably a combination of things looking up with the new stadium and CL progression, and Madrid flirting with alternatives like Pogba and Pjanic.

Hasn't been a vintage season from him by any means (I put a lot of it down to a lack of consistency in the team this season, seeing as he is the link man), but I'd be absolutely delighted if he stayed. Same as Toby.

Someone should be able to make a constructive criticism of any player without others calling him out as a hater. No one is disputing Eriksen's ability and importance to the team, but this season he has been a shadow of the player he was 2 or 3 years ago. He has had more poor games than good for us this season and yesterday (like many of the others) he was poor.

With literally seconds to go, that back pass was not unlucky, it was reckless and stupid and a player of his ilk should have booted it forward or in to row z, but not back to an area where some of the most potent finishers in world football were lurking.

I am confident and hoping that this will come as a wake up call for him and we will get our old Eriksen back, because I am sure that he more than anyone else was horrified at what he had done.

new deal would be amazing, even if he still leaves, we'd be able to ask for way more.

ideally I want him to want to stay though.
