This guy is growing. Becoming a father soon, he is becoming more mature. And I am so happy to see him having some fire in the belly now. He was obviously not happy when Young was kicking him and Trippier about.

That beard, fierce.

Mate, I love Eriksen, but he's never ever going to be anything approaching fierce :D.

Love Eriksen so much. But honestly out of all our star players I’m the most worried about him leaving this summer

What a game. Absolutely dominated the midfield with Dembele and Dier. I really like him in a 4-3-3, it allows him to get more on the ball in the middle. Scored a great goal and what a time to end his free kick drought. Was involved in our other goal, kinda funny that he shrugged off Chiellini. Also got robbed an assist once again when Kane missed a sitter.

He must be a bit tired of not getting assists because of missed chances in games. He creates so many good chances that are not being converted. It’s all good as long as we are winning. Eriksen has been huge coming back from being sick and a perfect time to shine against top opponents.

We really fucking need to extend his contract. It would be awesome if we could keep him for the rest of his career.

Before last night he hadn't scored a direct free-kick since Swansea away in October 2015. Given that he's been our main free-kick taker in that entire period and has therefore probably averaged at least one direct shot at goal per game from free-kicks in an almost two and a half year period, that's a truly appalling record that he really should have been called out on.

What a time to break the duck though. Even if he got a bit lucky because you'd have expected one of the best goalkeepers of all time to have saved it, it was still a superb performance overall. That ball that Kane should have scored from was outstanding.

A Gooner mate of mine summed it up best when watching last night. He thinks that Ozil is a better technical player than Eriksen, but the difference between the two is that if Ozil had been playing last night and had seen his team go 2-0 down in the first 9 minutes, his head would have dropped and he'd have spent the rest of the game sulking, moving around at walking pace and seeing his team get badly beaten. Eriksen on the other hand took absolutely no shit, dug in deep and made absolutely damn sure that we fought back against one of the strongest defences on the planet to take a draw and two away goals back to London.

From Barney Ronay in the Guardian:-
Christian Eriksen played with ice in the head and a touch of magic on the toe of his boots

He was our key player last night. He kept unlocking what we are always being told is an almost impregnable defence. Of course he is part of a team and others played extremely well but what he does few can.
Nice to see him score a direct free kick again. He has been through his career one of the very best free kick specialists in the world so it surprises me he has been off the mark in recent times. However his consistency and all round game is improving all the time which is more important than just making the spectacular strikes. When he does both, like for Denmark, he has few peers in world football

Considering the opposition, the fact it was an away game there and it being knockout CL football I thought it was his best ever game for us.
Felt like it was another step up from him. Along with Dembele when we went two down he stood strong and grabbed hold of the game taking it away from Juve. He showed the world he's world class last night, and I feel there's even more to come. 26 today, this is the beginning of his peak years.
