Generally not bothered about anything Mundo Deportivo write. They will publish anything with any relation to Barca and spin it as truth rather than rumor.

Plus the danish media seem desperate for him to go to Barcelona.

I think he will sign a new contract with us and see how it pans out in the next 2 years.

Since he (allegedly) had dinner with Poch the other night, I'm hoping a new deal for him is hot on the heels of Poch's new contract. He's the player that makes us tick.

Tuesdays front page of Barcelona-based paper SPORT will probably get quite a few mentions in the media today

https://www.sport.es/es/noticias/comunicacion/salido-portada-sport-6844780

We know Eriksen isn't going anywhere. The article seems to suggest that they'll pay (or Levy will accept) £100mil, and then seems to mention talking to representatives of Alba, who would be tempted by the Premier League.

So I guess we expect a new contract announcement for Alba soon

Not keen on this of Eriksen being pushed back into midfield.

I find tried it may turn out quite well, but he’s also been very effective further up the pitch so really we need to be replacing Dembele with someone else and not curtailing Eriksen.

I think if Eriksen moved back - it would be a half-step back. I think he would play in front of a DM like Dier or Wanyama, not along side a DM - and still drop into the same spaces he does now in attack.

More of a 433 or 352

A midfield of
Wanyama
Sissoko eriksen alli lamela

Beat city last season whilst they were unbeaten at the time. may not be right for every game but could be good for us especially with better wide players

playing him in midfield gives him more space to use the ball, imo it will be more effective against a bus parking team

I believe I read that a couple of the all time great Danish footballers played at Barca which might explain their obsession with Eriksen going there. I admittedly know nothing about Danish football greats so....

The most prominent ones were Allan Simonsen & Michael Laudrup

IMO the main consideration is to ask Eriksen where he wants to play and let him do it.
