Unfortunately his performance last night has probably not gone unnoticed by the Barcelona hierarchy...
But do they need him? They already have amazing team and it would be hard for Eriksen to be the maestro which he is in Spurs, and there are players like Coutinho who's right now struggling a little bit to find his place. Of course Rakitic needs to be replaced at some point so it's not impossible. And don't hate me for saying this, but Eriksen sometimes goes missing a little and in Barca he should play at his highest level all the time, so here's hoping that he stays for now.

PAY

THE

MAN

JEEEEEEEEEEEEZ

Based on what AliZ has said today it sounds like it's more to do with him wanting to fulfil his ambition of playing for a specific club (Barca?) than the money at this stage.

Eriksen is one of the best 10s who can play as an 8 in the world. Rabiot is an 8 who sees his future as a 10. Us and Barca seem to both have been long doing a dance with both. Seems about right.

When he first joined I read that the plan was to end up one day at Barca. They are the 'one club' alluded to in the ITK thread. Let's hope they don't need him! *ahem*

So I imagine it’s either Real or Barca.

In the case of both clubs I’m not entirely sure if they have the massive amounts of money that it would require to get him. I know that sounds crazy considering the stature of the two, but oil barons and TV money have had a massive effect on them not really being able to spend big unless they make a big sale.

Barca I can’t see having the money right now unless they make some sales and loosen the wage budget.

Real have the Ronaldo money, but it seems much more likely that they go in hard for Hazard (who has been pretty talkative about the move) rather than Eriksen.

The question is how much Levy can realistically ask for with one year left in the summer? It'll be closer to £50m than the £100m+ he's worth.

We knew he had a plan in mind when he joined us. If we get circa 140 mill for him - who do we go for? Asensio if Madrid come in for Eriksen?

Isco, zaha and just leave Dele as #10, Fekir and his shaky knees, Rafinha, Lord and Savior Jack Grealish, some prospect we've never heard of, etc.

We ain't getting 140mil for him with a year left on his deal.

Also considering he's got a chronic injury that needs to be managed...140 is probably a bit rich. 100 is probably closer.

If things continue as they have then come the end of the season Real will probably be giving their squad a complete makeover to appease their fans. So they may very well be going in for multiple players like Hazard and Eriksen.

But we have had them for a further season and they can’t be made to sign new contracts.

Unless you mean we should have sold them sooner ?

Nah, I actually think we would have done the right thing. Still been mugged, but we are better placed than say a year ago, in both positions, to cope with it.
