Since when have one of our top players leaving us cause catastrophe the answer is never ;when Greaves ;Carrick ; Berbatov ; Bale ; Sherringham left the club far from collapsing we went on to improve from where we were when they were at the club.
Possibly Sherringham was the biggest gap not filled with good enough player/players.

What we win after selling them?

Either a new contract or a move to Barca won't happen until the summer.
At that point the following players will have also left the club: Dembele, Fernando, Vorm, Janssen, GKN + possibly Edwards, CCV, Onomah or TOB or Amos. Also think there is a real chance Aurier leaves (would be Trippier but HG an issue). That is 5-8 players out.
Additionally Toby will either sign or be out.
Why raise this on the Eriksen thread? Well there is a bigger restructuring of our squad than people appreciate that will happen next summer....hope Eriksen is not part of it but he could be and it would create risks and opportunities.
We weren’t able to shift players last summer but you expect next summer to be different ?

I've always had the feeling that Eriksen wants to end up at one of the bigger clubs in Spain/Italy eventually a la Luka tbh.

We do need a suitable understudy as a priority IMO.

2+2=5 I’m sure, but Barcelona swooping for Eriksen I’m January with cash + Andre Gomes (who they don’t want but will be premiership ready and looks very good at that) makes a lot of sense. Eriksen has basically been playing at CM recently anyway.

I still really can't shake the feeling this is his last season for us. Wouldn't blame him ether. He is good enough to play for the very best.

Goal today reminded me of the one against Inter. He has surprised me recently by driving into the penalty box sometimes, and his finishing is excellent because his touch is so good

Hasn’t Eriksen said previously he has always wanted to play in Italy? If so the only clubs there who could probably afford him are Juve and possible Inter.
Inter would be a step down at the moment. I'm not sure he's high profile or marketable enough for Juventus to want to pony up the fees it would take to get him either really.

I think it's an odd one. He has the talent to play anywhere in the world. I just find it hard to fit his transfer into another top club and have it make sense for both parties. Maybe Bayern.

Actually, probably Bayern.

Yeah I was thinking it could be Bayern as well.
