Problem with the Eriksen situation is that Madrid have us by the nads somewhat.

- Down to the last year of his contract
- He wants Madrid
- He is an option for Madrid but doesn't really sound as though he is someone they want to really go all out for. He maybe be an option for them at the right price or maybe they'll be happy waiting until January.
- Ideally we'd want to keep him but if we are selling him, we probably want him to go abroad.
- English Windows closes in just under 5 weeks, whereas Real can still sign players up until the end of August. Is Lo Celso viewed as someone who we planning on signing to provide competition for Eriksen or a replacement? If the former, then we are back to square one. Maybe why we are looking at Cabellos. Yes different to Lo Celso but maybe Poch feels he both of them can provide him different options which will make up for Eriksen going.

To be fair Barca, Bayern and Juve may get interested in Jan or next summer if he didn't sign a new deal. They wouldn't have a free run.

They do hold the keys however, although I'm far from convinced Zidane even wants to use them.

Eriksen did leave the door open but no other teams ran through it
He left it open for us though too
So hopefully he will sign on to more open footie this year

I believe Pogba's agent has gone full out mode this afternoon. What impact that has is probably significant.

If he doesn't go on their tour that would be huge. Given his attitude and the (im)balance of their squad, Utd would probably be better off just selling him and using the money to rebuild their ramshackle team.

Always thought Eriksen would end up at Madrid this summer but with what is going on with Pogba, having my doubts. Sound's like Zidane want's Pogba and doesn't have any real interest in Eriksen. Seem's Eriksen is down their list and if they get Pogba, really think they will shut the door on a move for him.

Unfortunately can see the whole Pogba situation dragging on for a while and the knock on effect is it leaves us in limbo. Would make any move for Cabellos unlikely imo but the bigger question would be will Eriksen sign a new contract if Madrid drop their interest.

He has clickbaited what they actually say. The piece says we have had a 150k offer on the contract for a long time but he doesn’t want to renew and isn’t interested in signing again.

Ricky Sacks clickbaiting? Who would’ve thought?

What's everyone's thoughts on Eriksen right now? I really wanted us to keep him initially. Now I'm thinking sell, sign Lo Celso and Ceballos on loan and I'd be happy.

Id keep him but wonder how he would be if he opened up his game a bit more
With NDombele maybethe more forward players will have more space to work in getting the ball down the field quicker
The short pass game is tiring, looks like we are looking for players to dribble to create space

As long as we don’t sell him to a PL rival.

Although I don’t want to sell him at all, but if he won’t sign a contract we have a problem.

Cant help but think this pogba circus is bad news for us. Could delay us from being able to plan or get our business done early. Cellabos could end up at United and a sweetener and eriksen could be in limbo. For me him leaving on a free next year would be a disaster

What about if we cant sell him abroad then what?

Don’t want to think about that scenario. It was rumoured that Juve were interested though. Wouldn’t be surprised if whoever doesn’t sign Pogba bids for Eriksen instead ( even though they are completely different players).

The thought of the possibility that both Toby and Eriksen could be playing for our rivals next year is really not good and threatens to completely undermine any good work we do this window.

It would be disastrous imo.
