The only person? You have asked everybody on this site. yes or no?

Let’s just leave it. You misread a sarcastic comment and instead of owning it became a dick.

Anyone in the top 85% intelligence league could have seen it was a joke.

Yes... He and Dele. We just waiting for the World Cup to start/End and we will announce it.

You see, them signing new deals is HUGE marketing opportunities for the club... We cannot be upstaged on such announcements. The limelight is on the workd cup and we paying top eages now and we want the world to know.oh btw the same applies to player acquisitions.. One or two deals are done. The club wants to maximise the marketing exposure and we will announce these when the world cup is over.

Now i argued the nonsensical logic on the above and several posters backed the theory but here we are 3 months after the end of the world cup and those deals for Eriksen and Dele have not been announced.

Call me skeptical, but I reckon it's because they haven't signed them

Eriksen will need to be persuaded over the next 8 months that he's at the right club. We'll need to show performance on the pitch and ambition off it in order to persuade him....otherwise he's off, and at an uncomfortable fee given his contract situation

Improving our performance on the pitch is as much down to him as anyone else. In his last few appearances, he's been well below par for whatever reason, so it all depends on whether he's the chicken or the egg.

I know he was, it was incredibly clear

It was only the second part of my post that was written properly. I can't believe I'm even writing this response...
Just making sure! Ya never know with some of the stuff you see on here.

For me, to be able to hold onto Eriksen, Poch, Toby next summer we need to have official deals announced before the window opens that prove ambition.

I have a feeling he wont be signing a new deal. We not matching his ambition and he's about to enter his prime yrs. If he does sign the deal then he could still leave though.

If he's not 100% I'd rather we saved him for PSV. It's a more important game.
I'd be surprised if he's not 100%. Certainly in terms of fitness. In terms of sharpness maybe not because he's been out a few weeks. In which case he should be fine to start both games. Saturday afternoon and then Wednesday night is plenty of time. In fact the following Monday as well has our games nicely spaced. It's the cup game 2 days after City which is great concern but I think we'll play 2 totally different teams in each game that week.

I think he signs only if he gets some decent (for him) release clause so he can go to Barcelona/Madid/Juve if we fail again in the transfer window.

I think he will sign. More money and he can still leave if he kicks up a stink in a year's time.

Got a bad feeling about this, but that's mainly because of how these last few months have been. Optimism has been drained!

Would be a major boost if he were to sign. £160k sounds more than fair for his quality and should be doable with the new stadium income (assuming the delay hasn't crippled us completely). With a new baby I could see him taking the pay rise for another season or two if the right amount is offered, we just need to hope the worry of him having 18 months left puts Levy into action, to protect his value.
