Was very lively today when he came on. Was not wasteful, some intelligent exchanges with Carroll. Decent cameo that he can build from. Was a pleasure to see him running at players.

Strange that, he was written off as being awful and deadwood a few days ago by some (bellends) on here.

Lovely touch in the assist and the perfect impact sub it seems!

Great assist today,

Tottenham Hotspur‏@SpursOfficial
More on goal: Clinton rolls his man beautifully on halfway & squares it for @Coco_Lamela to score! #COYS

Possibly not quite fit enough for a start, but a few sub appearances like this this would be a really great contribution before getting starts

It's not the first time players have been written off before they've even had 45 mins on the pitch…..! Crazy. Although he did look much better today than his first couple of appearances. He is obviously setting in. Which is great,

Great performance today. Hopefully he keeps on learning the running demands, looks a culture shock. Was terrific on the ball though; lots to work with.

Embarrassing and shameful how N'jie was written off, he'd not even started a game yet, as well to early to say he's great, what peps need to remember his come back from injury.

Lamela Townsend Davies Dier even Alli and Aldeweireld have already been written off this season by some knowledgeable folk I'm sure most think Bentalebs not good enough now

He looked good today. Im one of those who made my negative judgement of him based on the few minutes he had played previously. I was wrong apparently.

However, he would make a good impact sub if we're already in the lead and the opposing team needs to attack, leaving gaps in defence. Like today. Perfect situation for him to come on.

We have not seen him perform when we need to score and when teams sit back to defend, closing all space. Thats a different proposition altogether

He did exactly what he was bought to do today. He came off the bench to inject some pace to an already flagging City defence. The commentator touched on how Navas was used as City's impact sub and that N'Jie looks like he could be ours, and I would say there's a good deal of sense in that.

He's going to lose the ball a few times, and he's going to hit a wrong pass here and there, but he's the kind of player who will at least have a go. He's quick and he knows it. He'll also make those runs past Kane, and since Harry is very good at dropping back and knocking some clever passes through, the two could link up very well.

We really needed that bit of pace and N'Jie, along with Son, look like smart acquisitions. Time will tell if he picks up enough to cement a first team spot, but he's still young and getting used to the league, so right now he's a very smart option off the bench when we need something different.

Really looking like the perfect impact sub. Love that he can play up front as well as down the wings.

I think he really needed a performance like today. He looks to be a promising player, just needed a bit of assurance can cut it in the first place in this league. He got that today, so hopefully he can push on from here. Would love to see him get the start in Monaco, especially as he's more familiar with those surroundings.

Great cameo today, he has a great touch, is very fast and seems to have a good football brain. It was criminal that people were writing him off after the Arsenal game, it just goes to show how fickle fans can be. I, for one, will not judge his performances until a years time once he has settled.

Like others have said, great cameo from the lad today and just one of the many reasons why i am so optimistic about the direction this club is heading in at the moment.

Lovely bit of skill the way he controlled the pass on his way to setting up Lamela's goal.
