He looks a bit over weight and slower

I can’t work out if his heart just isn’t in it or it’s just because he’s struggling to get over that injury. If he hadn’t given that interview to The Sun in August I’d think it was the latter but since then you just don’t know.

He's certainly made it difficult for himself. Nobody is going to feel confident in giving him the benefit of the doubt now - not the fans, not the staff and not his teammates. Which is unfortunate because he'd been fantastic for us before that.

He must surely know that at his age he won’t be able to simply ride on his reputation if he wants a big move. United will not want to pay big money for him on this form.

Really impressed with the way Poch has dealt with players who either haven’t signed a new deal or who’ve publicly agitated for a move. Shown them they can’t hold the club to ransom and that no player is bigger than the team.

The thing is, football will remember his good form and that will get him his move. All the bad form he’s now in is going to do is harm his price tag if he’s to be sold.

So is he still the best left back in Europe. ? As i was told by multiple posters.

In fairness there are very few names that leap to mind as being clearly better.

Last season on form there was a good argument to be made that he was, and that’s why United were keen to sign him.

I'm pretty sure he's just going through the motions to make sure he gets "his move" this summer. Sad, but life goes on.

Reality check for Rose, that outburst couldn't have come at a worse time for him.

Thing is i think the outburst came partly because he was out for so long. Read any footballers interview after a long time out with injury, they suffer from frustration and a bit of depression.

It was stupid of rose to say what he did and it's not the first time he's yapped off without thinking but i think with a full preseason and some games under his belt this season he can get somewhat back to his best.

Or we sell and bring in sess.

He may not yet be at his best, but some of the challenges he's flying into don't make me think Rose isn't committed.

One thing I noticed today is he plays like it's before his long term injury, he invites pressure to take guys on so he can create openings when he goes past, problem is he's not the same player anymore, he isn't winning any of them... So basically all he does is put us under pressure when he eventually loses out. I wouldn't mind him doing this if he actually won a one on one or two, but he never does. :(
