Update in the daily thread indicates staying. But that goes against what Val Yid said yesterday.
One may well be Danny's perspective and the other may well be the club's and they can differ. Danny may expect to stay because he does not like the clubs that want him and the club may want him gone because they feel they can improve or that bridge has been broken.Update in the daily thread indicates staying. Considering our need for real top quality signings this season, which don't come cheap. Potentially getting the best LB in the league back and firing doesn't seem a bad move at all, and saves some of the budget and/or negotiation time on selling and replacing him.
Certainly looked back on it vs Leicester.
Especially with the Sessegnon situation, whereby he seems to be evolving away from LB and also may well stay at Fulham if they win the playoffs.
If he crosses you again be sure to let Poch know.I was as angry as anyone when Danny said what he said last year, and even was quite militant about it until a couple of months ago.
But I just can't hold a grudge for that long and if he's willing to knuckle down and keep his mouth shut then we need him.
He's on his last chance for me though.
To be honest, I don't see a great deal of difference between what Rose said last year and what Poch said recently. Yeah, Rose was a lot less polished about it and didn't do it very nicely, but it essentially adds up to the same thing. He's always been Poch's pet as well hasn't he?
If we didn't give silly young people a second chance in society there'd be a lot more inmates.I kind of agree. Rose was fucking stupid how he said it and how he went about it. His lack of class was shocking. I can’t make my mind up if I want him to stay.
If we want to win shit we should probably learn not to be so petty and precious about what the best left back we've had in 30 odd years has or hasn't said a year ago. Especially considering all the shit the fan base gave him those years ago when he signed a new contract.
Keeping rose if he wants to play for us is a no fucking brainer if he isn't crocked which it sounds like he isn't.
Everton are hoping to take advantage of cooling interest from Manchester United and Manchester City to sign Tottenham left-back Danny Rose, 27. (Sun)
