The only reason the club would have OKed the content of that interview is if they were happy for Rose to distance himself from the fans and club a little.
If one of the better players are going to leave in the near future, it is less traumatic if the fans are given fair notice.
I cannot comment any further without compromising my connections. There is so much stuff that fans are not aware of here. I have said enough, so those who want to castigate him you are welcomed.

If his knee injury doesn't get sorted pdq he might find himself back at Leeds in a couple of years. When you consider how much he has improved under Poch these last 2 seasons it's a pretty poor effort on his part doing that interview. Sterling got slaughtered after he did an interview on the BBC , got his move and now he spends more time on the bench at City. Doesn't always work out for these players.

Booing Rose is the same as sabotaging our team. There is absolutely no way booing anybody over say, cheering for our team, will have a positive effect on our results.

If you wanna boo Danny Rose, I'd appreciate you doing it from your couch and not from the stands.

Fair enough - I used to know someone who worked in a bread factory.
Seriously, you would not want to know the specifics and it put me off sliced white bread for life.
I love the ITK snippets as much as the next person, but I'm happy not to have all the details.

As for Rose, I doubt he knows himself if he's definitely going next year. A lot can change.
Under MP he has always given 100% when he's played, so I doubt anyone is going to give him too much grief.

Totally agree, very unhappy with him but I've never seen the point of booing any player. For or again spurs

Well, our fans clearly have no problems with booing our players... just look at their reaction at the end of today's match. :D

Anyway, today's match was an affirmation we actually do need Danny Rose in our squad... it doesn't mean I want to see him wearing a Spurs shirt anytime soon (but that's totally irrelevant I guess).

There are a lot of things people are never aware of, but the media. And yes, he said such things. I actually cannot recall him slagging the club or his mates off in that article. He apologised, it was accepted by all. The club were certainly aware he was going to print, even if they deny such. That is the ignorance in part.

Of course there are lots of things going on behind the scenes that us mere mortals aren't privy to, but I'm not sure how you can say he didn't slag off the club of his team mates. He slagged the club off by very publicly criticising the transfer polocy and wage structure, and he slagged his team mates off in all kinds of ways: he pretty much called some of his team mates stupid because, unlike him, they're prepared to accept what Spurs offer them and not kick off about it, he also insulted any recent signings by saying that they weren't good enough or big enough names, so much so that he had to google them.

Like I say, I appreciate there's probably a lot more to it, but to say that he didn't slag off either his club or teammates is just completely incorrect.

Any updates on his injury?

I've just been reading about Mendy's injury and Pep mentioned that they have plans to buy another left back...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41401545
Asked whether he would consider looking for a replacement left-back in January, Guardiola said: "We will see in January.
"We thought next summer about looking for another left-back, another replacement, but we will see what we do.

How longs it now 9 months? And absolutely no sign of a return. If it is just an injury it's very debatable if he will be same player again. His game was all about explosive pace.Very few players come back from this length of kneee injury without reduced pace.Added to all the drama I'd take £50m in January in a heartbeat. We aren't exactly desperate for a replacement but I'm sure there are plenty out there if you know where to look.Plus all our 3 RB have shown can cover LB if needed.Plus we have 2 or 3 youth prospects at LB.

Hed have been far better off to keep stum, let his game do the talking and then go see the Gaffer who im sure would have been on his side as and when he got back to his best. Basic rule of negotiation; do it from a position of strength.

Just hope he hurries up and gets fit as if Davies is unavailable we are worringly short on that left side (and we really don't want to have to push Verts out there).

We have Tsaroulla in our youth team but he's not been given any first team chances yet so no where near ready to cover long-term.

With Davies' current form I'd take a Rose Martial swap deal.

I wouldn't unless we also manage to secure another left back / wing back as we're already worryingly short on the left side with Rose out injured at the moment.
