Look man, you're clearly in love with Rose or something. I get you, I went through the same with AVB and, more recently and way way waaaaaay more intensely, with Tony Romo (former QB of the Cowboys), so I'm going to give you a small piece of advice: try not stressing yourself about any of this. I know that deep in your heart, at the very core of your soul, you are absolutely sure that Rose makes us a better team and that we should be doing whatever we can to keep him with us but, in the end, you need to remember that these sort of things are not our decisions and are totally out of our control. So just let it go man, there's nothing you can do in this situation and, sadly, all your hope and all your dreams will mean shit in the end. :/

Words of a man whose heart has been broken way too many times by sports and women alike (well, it was just one woman, but it hurt just as much as all the sports stuff combined).
Sorry mate but thats utter bollox. I'm not hung up on Rose in the slightest. As I said, if he goes he goes. But people need to stop talking shit which is all this thread has generated for the most part over whether or not his photo is in the fkin team calendar of all things, when the blokes been out for nearly a year so not likely to feature in a sodding team calendar!!!
Its just dumb media hyped up shit and our less intelligent fans are lapping it up.
The truth is nobody on here has a fkin scooby doo whats going to happen with Rose but the only fact we do know is he's quality, regardless of whether he's a fkin idiot or not, and we're better off with him than without. So lets stop throwing fuel on a media generated fire that is not to our benefit yes???
Its not my heart being broken by Rose possibly leaving or any crap like that but my frustration at the fkin stupidity of a lot of our fans who can't seem to see utter media shite when its staring them in the face.

Yeah, I agree the calendar thing is bullshit, but I disagree with you about the facts. Its not a fact that Rose is quality anymore, he was quality for about two, perhaps three seasons before his 8 month injury... but we actually don't know how good he's going to be any more. You're also missing the facts that Rose disrespected the hell out of this football club, and that he was clearly feeling disatisfied about being part of this club. I wish I could say, 'well, he's a professional, he still will be giving his full comitment to the team while he's part of it', but the truth is that his declarations to the sun were anything but professional, so I really don't know.

One thing is certain, I hope he's able to prove Levy and all of us why he's worth the amount he thinks he's worth.

Today shows how much we need two left backs for all the clever people saying let’s swap him for Martial.

Martial ain’t gonna cover left wing back if Davies is unavailable!

Pretty sure anyone with half a brain meant swap him for Martial and get another left back in, eg Sessegnon.

Verts did very well there yesterday. Not saying we won't need another left back when he goes because we will, but we certainly won't struggle until we can get one in.

I am fairly sure he won't be here next season and wouldn't be surprised one bit if he leaves in January. The team is far more important than any of the individuals, and any player who doesn't understand that needs moving on.

Without Walker and Rose we lose our width and penetration. Davies is decent, but Trippier rarely gets beyond his man in the manner Walker did. Against teams who sit deep, you need that drive from wing backs to get in behind them.

I think if we have Aurier and Davies on the pitch we'll be fine in that respect.

Do you? David beckham had a very good career but couldn't get passed a fullback, he didn't need to.

Ben Davies has been playing really well this season, Trippier is pretty good, if not spectacular, and the jury's out on Serge.

What i can see, especially at "home" is that we are very pedestrian and have little penetration and pace we took for granted when we had Rose and Walker together. Everything seems to go down the middle and we are too reliant on Eriksen making that killer pass for Harry.

Beckham wasn't a wing back and played in a 4-4-2 formation. We don't; so I fail to see your point.

i seem to remember us struggling just as much against teams that parked the bus with both Rose and Walker in the side. Problem is more and more teams are playing that way against us now, and especially at home.

Fair enough. Writings on the wall. I still personally think what he said was not particularly wrong. Clearly our players are paid materially below what other top players are getting. And clearly our transfer window whilst decent could have been a lot better in terms of adding a bit more attacking guile - and I don't think he was completely alone there

That said how he said it, when he said and to whom as well as his dig at the fans all came across as dreadfully bad and ruined all the goodwill he had built up

But Poch has talked about second chances, people making mistakes and reacting to injury badly etc which I do also think is true. People make mistakes - clearly I have no idea if bridges have been built since this happened

But Would hope for pragmatic reasons alone he is integrated back and given another chance as was becoming a fantastic player pre injury

Everyone gives all the players Fergie fell out with and sold as examples but Rooney disrespected Utd and stayed for a long time after as was clear there was more value in keeping him - for me I see the same with Rose

Pretty sure that this isn't the first time Rose has stepped out of line, didn't he go out in Sunderland the night before the Newcastle 5-1 match and get pissed with his mates which is why he was dropped...something like that anyway I remember someone saying he missed he flight back to London...

Of course, but he does, so it's a completely hypothetical point and so different to Rose.

Fergie moved on Stam, Beckham, Keane and RVN all pretty much in their primes for exactly this reason. Regardless of how much criticism Fergie got for doing so he was proved right in the long run.
