That's an amazing tweet from @tehTrunk.

Just shows how short sighted football fans can be.

Great news.

Went through a spell where he got loads of stick but turned a corner and is now easily one of the best LB's in the league.

Great news this, young player who worked hard and persevered until he found his best role and is now vitally important to the shape of the team

Of course Harry knew it all the time ... that Danny would be a top-class LB - just as he knew that Bale would be a top-class wide forward, Modric was not a wide mf but a CM and that Suarez would be an top-notch lone striker...oh, hang on...

The Englishman, though, has made it clear that he always knew that the 26-year-old was going to be a top player.

“I always felt Danny would be an England left-back,” said Redknapp on the Drive show on talkSPORT on Monday afternoon (broadcast from 4pm, September 26, 2016). “I used to say to him you will never play for England on the left wing."

"I never thought he would be good enough to be a left-winger, but at left-back I thought he was fantastic,” added Redknapp. “I knew he was always going to be a top player.”

Tbf it was redders that moved him to left back.

The only player that has Opta stats for his chest. That alone has more successful passes and tackles than Mark Noble

After the loss to the scum a couple of years ago and Rosicky scored early on, when Rose was almost walking back as he ran on to score, I wanted him out immediately.

Goes to show what a manager can do, because now he'd sprint back, hack his achilles off, kidnap his kids and burn his house down, before he let him get away.

The tenacity and aggression of him is incredible, in addition to his technical and physical attributes. Certainly captain material.

Does seem like a grumpy bastard though

Actually it was Keith Millen, I think Ferdinand saw him play that very match he got moved to LB and he put in a MOTM performance, we recalled him after that game having been shit for the rest of the loan at LW and CM

He is the best left back in the whole wide world

See you say that in jest but how many left backs do we reasonably think are ahead of him? Is he top 20? Top 10? Top 5? I don't know enough about continental football but I'd be amazed to find 10 better left backs than him
