There may be potential for Shaw to become a very good player again under Poch, but I can't remember Levy spending money on a player with injury history like Shaw has. Just don't see any mileage in it at all.

I'm not sure Shaw is known as a "speedster" is he?
Yeap, he's not. That's why I mentioned 'unless' there is another speedster of a LB/LWB we have had interest of, getting Shaw who is not speedy is still acceptable for me based on the points I listed.

I suppose my point is, a lot of people on here seem obsessed with pace and often criticise Davies and Trippier for a lack of it yet, I see people wanting to trade in Rose for Shaw.

No doubt about that mate. But for me, Rose seems to be losing some speed ever since being back from the injury. Granted he may not be 100% yet, but age is probably catching up on him some way or rather IMO.

So until a young, promising and speedy player come along, Shaw is not a bad choice for consideration.

I get the feeling Spurs want to recycle.

There is a high probably he will lose pace and effectiveness (maybe) over next season.

Under Poch, I really think he has alot to offer than what he is now at manure.

I think we all know the level Rose was at before he really blossomed.. And I do credit that to Poch. With Shaw, Poch could do the same, if not more, especially they had work together before.

More importantly, Rose's character is no longer a benign one in the dressing room IMVHO, with now his fiery and sometimes straighforward but negative temperament seemingly bred from his press outburst and almost 1-year of injury layoff..

Losing some speed if we sell Rose I can understand that. Unless there is another speedster of a LB/LWB that we had target, Shaw is acceptable for me from the above points.

I would see the fun in Pochettino making him good again, while Rose (if going to United) hopefully turns into a morbidly obese sulk.

Shaw was over-rated before he went to United. Sell Rose for max value and get Sessegnon in as understudy/cover for Davies and left wing option. Shaw isn't even good enough to go back to Southampton anymore. Luckily we can't afford his wage demands anyway. He's stealing a fortune for a living at United by getting 130k a week.

Apologies if already posted. Good to see him in good humour. 1% of me still has hope he’ll stay.

If anyone’s wondering, Trippier’s apparently says ‘Ginger Mourinho - Sean Dyche’

Also, someone needs to tell Rose that his Nelly impression is a bit wrong.

Why has he got a sanitary towel on his forehead? I wish more players would follow Harry Kane’s example and not drink during the season.

I don't think he'd understand the definition of the term, just like he doesn't realize that the majority of Spurs fans had to google him when we first bought him.

EDIT: really piedpiper? Why the d'oh rating? I really did have to google him when we bought him, and I know I'm not the only one.

Sorry only just seen your query. I gave the doh rating as so many fail to understand the Google comment.. He wants us to show ambition and not sign bargain basement players of which nothing comes of them... Njie. GKN. Holtby. etc.

Me and dad thought he’d skidded on the white paint on pitch, hence the white stuff on his head during Southampton game (and the other players thought it funny not to tel him at half-time :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:) but after seeing this pic guessed the white stuff must have been some high tech shit to seal a boo boo on his head?

Nelly impression lol!

I hope he stays too really and hope the badge pointing in dressing room was a sign, but our ITKs seem in agreement he will probably be off, unless there’s been a change of heart, which can happen. :)

Kyle Walker said "Tottenham 'til I die." The same season he decided he wanted a new 'challenge'. I wouldn't read too much into it.

You don't put diesel in a Lamborghini. Professional athletes shouldn't really drink. I believe it's a pretty common theme that none of the world's best players drink

Even Messi drinks. If he's drinking every week I'd agree. I have no idea if he is. If it's a few beers at Christmas it's no big deal.

I don’t mind players drinking in the summer as they deserve it but I don’t think they should during the season. Poch doesn’t seem to mind though and his opinion is much more important on the subject than mine.
