Probably being slow tracked to allow people's memories to fade.

that would be poor from the club. To many competitions to breast feed him back to health

get him playing as soon as possible, Davies can't do it all by himself.
If he gets massive abuse it's his own silly fault...who goes to the Sun newspaper :S

I think the guy is a bit of a cock like many, but I really hope he isn't booed/jeered.

Don't think he will be, but I do remember Dean Richards being booed for consecutive defensive errors - so I've seen players booed for less.

I hope he is not booed, not because i don't think what he did/said was fucking dumb, just because i would love to see him back playing at the level he was before his injury.

But if he gets massive abuse and it causes a down turn in form/results and we could have lessened it by leaving him to recover a bit longer then it's in our best interests no?

I've seen the booing of one player have such a negative impact on the team that we were effectively playing with 10 men.

Booing is like a cancer that spreads, you can't just boo one person and expect it not to have a negative effect on the rest of the team.

As I have said above, it wouldn't surprise me if he is roundly booed that Pochettino just won't pick him thinking how it will effect the team.

We've been quite fortunate lately in the social media age we haven't really had a single target for boo boys, but as someone that has seen it all too often it just creates a bad feeling around the club (hurrah to those gooners booing Sanchez, long may that continue:D)

Modric came out and and said he wanted to join Chelsea and was given a giant ovation the next time he played for us -- so it would be really fucking weird to boo DR for something far less heinous.

Don't remember that, but Modric is/was a once in a lifetime player. Danny Rose, not so much.

To counter that, GKN was pictured wearing a Chelsea shirt, that he was gifted and some said he should never play for us again...

He'll probably get booed by a few fans and you'll hear murmurs but then he'll play really well then everyone will forget about it, that's what normally happens with these things.

Here's hoping that's the worst case scenario.

A good indication would be how people react to his name on the bench and when warming up.
That's how the article was written from his quotes. I bet there are Spurs fans who agreed with him anyway.
We know there are but this has all been said before in this thread and others.

Rehashing all this isn't going to help TBH, my bad...

He pissed me off with his actions and words without a doubt but if he's giving 100% out there on the pitch to aid us in our cause I'm gonna support the guy.

What exactly is his injury? He did an ACL when he was younger - it's not a recurrence of that (or the other one!) is it?

He was probably my favourite player last season before his injury. I absolutely love the way he plays and the attitude he shows. Really struggling with some of the holier-than-though stuff about him on here.

He's a straight talking northerner who was asked a direct question and answered it as bluntly as you'd expect. Hopefully all involve leave this behind and get back to playing football. As someone said, it will all depend on a) Does Poch forgive him B) Will he get back to the same level as he seems to have been out forever.

I think you're looking at it through rose-tinted spectacles a bit there (no pun intended). The fact that he set up and/or agreed to do the interview in the first place was in itself an act of rebellion, let alone all the stuff he actually said.

It's what he said after which pissed me off more, about being applauded on the training ground.
