Nonetheless, they did sign him. And he was the type of signing Rose was advocating.

Yeah I don't disagree with that, it's the insistence on Rose sticking his neck out as if he was doing the club a favour and that they weren't aware that they needed quality players.

Maybe they needed a little push in that direction?
We bought Lucas because we've been in the market for a direct, pacey, tricky wide player for years now and he happened to be available at a cut-rate price. Nothing to do with Danny's comments.

Let’s not forget Rose stuck his neck out to get the club to consider signing big names like Moura.

He caused a stir and some headaches bringing it up publicly, but seems he was right.

At this point in time we need players ready to kick on, as well as development prospects.

I presume Rose also found him using Google

I think I cry Foul on this somehow :ROFLMAO:

Hard to tell whether he's still just not fully fit, or he just doesn't care and is going through the motions. He barely put any effort in on Sunday until the last 20 minutes.

There was a moment in the first half where the ball was hanging in the air in our box and instead of jumping for the header he physically moved out of the way. Maybe he's still a bit tentative after the injury or maybe he just can't be arsed, if it's the latter then we need to get rid. A lack of ability I can stomach, a lack of effort is unforgivable.

Something definitely wasn't right with him in the first half yesterday. Maybe it was something to do with the slipperiness of the pitch, and worrying about getting another injury, but he just didn't look up for it until the second half.

Could be similar situ to Walker that he’s agreed with poch he will go in the summer but needs to keep doing a job until the end of the season. If we replace him
With sessengon that fine in my
Book, he can be back up LB and another wide option.

He definitely doesn’t look the same player. Whether the injury has taken it out of him or he’s just not trying 100% because he wants to leave is anyone’s guess.

Up until his injury he was the best in the league but if his heart isn’t in it then it’s best he goes but only if we get a decent replacement before he leaves. Saying that I don’t want to sell him.

Rose was injured for a very long time... Poch slowly reintegrated him into the team( just like he's doing with Toby). Rose then had a slight setback and was out for the last month... He hasnt had the chance to build up match fitness. Same applies to Wanyama.

Nothing wrong with his commitment. Just not match sharp. I hope he stays beyond the season...

Players of Moura's ilk is exactly what Rose was on about. Not bargain basements like the N's who perhaps need 3 seasons to get to a level.

Anybody hear the Danny rose interview on the radio after last nights game. He was moaning about VAR which is fair enough but listening to him he sounds very down. The way he is playing at the moment the World Cup is a long way away.

Apparently he and Poch had an "Animated conversation" during today's training session in front of the assembled media.

Must've taken forever, as I know it takes me at least ten minutes just to draw a 5 second flick book.

So, Rose told that Davies was starting on Wednesday?

Would make a degree of sense given the personal appearance of the conversation but who knows.

From a playing perspective, BD is fit, he's been consistently good and is the safer bet in this game as it stands.

Until Rose gets that sharpness back in his game and his fitness up, i don't see an issue with the selection IF that is the reason for the chat. Equally i'm happy he's desperate to play and wants to have these kinds of conversations with Poch.
