Update in the daily thread indicates staying. But that goes against what Val Yid said yesterday.
One may well be Danny's perspective and the other may well be the club's and they can differ. Danny may expect to stay because he does not like the clubs that want him and the club may want him gone because they feel they can improve or that bridge has been broken.

Oh wants to stay now? Come on... Great player when fully fit, but how long will it be until something doesn’t go his way again and he fucks us again.

I’ve enjoyed seeing him in the side this season, but do I want him playing at the new stadium? Nah, he can go to Everton now.

Would prefer to keep him.

Best left back in league if fully fit and in form.

Who cares wha he said last year as long as he’s committed it would just be cutting nose off to spite pushing him out (unless we have a really top left back lined up - not Sessegnon as see him as more of a winger).

I would think if we get what we view as a reasonable offer and Rose is agreeable to a move, he's gone. I'm just not sure if either of those are likely after the "lost season" he just had. It's not a matter of us being firm on not letting him leave, etc. It's just there's probably not going to be an opportunity to even entertain it.

Considering our need for real top quality signings this season, which don't come cheap. Potentially getting the best LB in the league back and firing doesn't seem a bad move at all, and saves some of the budget and/or negotiation time on selling and replacing him.

Certainly looked back on it vs Leicester.

Especially with the Sessegnon situation, whereby he seems to be evolving away from LB and also may well stay at Fulham if they win the playoffs.

If we want to win shit we should probably learn not to be so petty and precious about what the best left back we've had in 30 odd years has or hasn't said a year ago. Especially considering all the shit the fan base gave him those years ago when he signed a new contract.

Keeping rose if he wants to play for us is a no fucking brainer if he isn't crocked which it sounds like he isn't.

Yeah that’s how I see it too. With the shortened window, why try and make extra work for ourselves.

Yep as it's looking increasingly liked we need to work hard on getting a top quality midfielder in to replace Dembele, a new centre back to replace Alderweireld and would be rather sweet if we could get Bale as our marquee signing so why rock the boat at left back?

If we have to then we have to and I hope we have someone lined up that will give us that athletic play and pace but seems silly unless we really have to.

Man U looking to sign Alex Sandro, left back. So guess they are not coming from Rose.
So what are Rose`s options?
If not city, liverpool or chelsea are interested he would have to join a "lesser" team to get the wage "he deserves".
So maybe he should just put his head down, work hard and commit to spurs.
I really like Rose when he is fit and in form.

If Rose's medical issues are too much of a concern then he has to go but if they aren't and he knuckles down then I'd keep him, ship out Davies and look to bring in an attack minded full back with more than one gear. Like for like full backs are essential if we seriously want to challenge for the title... no more having to fanny about with our tactics because Trippier and Davies are incapable of pressurising the opposition defence.

I was as angry as anyone when Danny said what he said last year, and even was quite militant about it until a couple of months ago.

But I just can't hold a grudge for that long and if he's willing to knuckle down and keep his mouth shut then we need him bc we really miss him and walkers dynamism at FB. I really like the sound of Rose and KWP first choice next season.

He's on his last chance though.

If he crosses you again be sure to let Poch know.

I still probably want him sold under normal circumstances but I do think there is a dearth of good left backs we could get in to replace him. I'm very unsure on Shaw, Kurzawa and Tierney has proven nothing outside of Scotland.

If he's fit and willing to get on with it then i'd begrudgingly let him stay. My concerns are more about his fitness than his attitude though.

To be honest, I don't see a great deal of difference between what Rose said last year and what Poch said recently. Yeah, Rose was a lot less polished about it and didn't do it very nicely, but it essentially adds up to the same thing. He's always been Poch's pet as well hasn't he?

I kind of agree. Rose was fucking stupid how he said it and how he went about it. His lack of class was shocking. I can’t make my mind up if I want him to stay.

If we didn't give silly young people a second chance in society there'd be a lot more inmates. ;)

Yes, you're right, this has no bearing whatsoever on the issues at hand. o_O:sorry:
