Now Danny Rose has gone public on his depression, and family issues, which some of us knew. Let it be a LESSON when you are getting hints to ‘lay off’ to understand!...

I think we will all be very happy with a hopefully full strength Rose back next season. Was so clear in that last game how much more dangerous the attack was with our fullbacks running into the 18 yard box. Makes so much difference in our game.

I'm really hoping that all this can sort itself out and he can get back to being a great player for Spurs. Really don't want to lose our other pacy English fullback. Walker and Rose were such an important part of how good we were in 16/17

Depression aside, he sounds pretty down on the club as a whole in his latest quotes. Such a shame from a player who appeared to love playing for Spurs more than anyone else before his injury and The Sun interview.

Probably best for all concerned if he moves on this summer.

I know mental illness doesn’t work like that, but it would have been so much better for him if he would have told certain people at the Club at the time that these things happened.

Hope he gets on top of it all and wish him all the best. Top player when on form.

(Still don’t like some of things said in the interview to the Sun though)

Horrible thing, but good on him to speak out. I read his comments about advising his family to not travel to Russia for fear of racial abuse and it’s shocking that people have to deal with this shit still

I am 100% behind Danny from this point, if he wants to stay, I hope he pushes forward, on and off the pitch.

I hope he has realised that the fans really do love him here. Whether what he said in the media last year was true or not, it was disrespectful to the fans, and the reaction he received from us when he returned was very positive all things considered.

I know from experience it doesn't always work like that. I attempted suicide twice as a younger man before anyone else was aware I had some issues. Everyone is different of course but there was, and still is, a huge stigma attached to mental illness, especially in young men who should be man enough to "get over it". It's easy to bottle things up and not let on you have problems.

We need to do our duty as Spurs fans to get behind Danny Rose next season and show him some love. He's a regular human being who has obviously been struggling mentally the last couple of seasons...

Depression is an all-enveloping curse. I would love to see Danny back to his best at Spurs, and I for one am gonna cheer him on for England and support him in pre-season. A fit, enthused and happy Rose is a superb player and I want him back to his best with us...

It’s an appalling approach to an illness. Thanks for sharing that

Mate, I hope you are not in that area anymore. The club was very aware, as was the players.

I’ve just read the interview... he’s gone through a lot but from a club perspective it doesn’t paint a pretty picture.

Only his agent knew he was on unhappy pills? Had to get away from Tottenham? Rescued by Gareth Southgate picking him for the WC. It all stems from being told he didn’t need an operation? If he was racially abused he would react at club level but not for England?

With Herc saying he loves the club, the interview doesn’t give that impression.

Because of Poch, who offered a lot of support, and was aware of the interview.
