I've always thought Rose was a good player but a bit of a moody sod especially over the past 18 months. His ill timed interview in The Sun, slating of the fans for being on his back etc, but I'm warming to him now. I think we just have to accept he has a bit of a loose mouth and has mental health issues.

In all honesty, when he said that we need to spend more last year on better quality players, I think he had a very valid point. What I didn't agree with was when he said that fans had been on his back. He wasn't wrong but he's still at the club and could've been more diplomatic.

It looks like he's getting back to his best so I do hope he is rewarded with an improved contract. I still think he's in the top 3 left backs in the league and we won't get a better ready made replacement.

That post match interview where he really wanted to say "karma is a bitch" was awesome. I fucking love this guy.

Thanks for that. Really like this quote:

“Our only motivation was remembering the nonsense that Arsenal posted after the game a few weeks ago. That was our motivation. Players that have only played 10 games for Arsenal were getting ahead of themselves. We used that in a positive way. It’s karma. They fully deserve what they got.

“We had the motivation of getting to the semi-final, so we’re over the moon. But the cherry on top was silencing them after remembering how they celebrated like they had won the league. We’ve put that result right. We’ll see where they are come the end of the season and we’ll see where we are.”

Have to put my hand up and admit it - I thought Rose was finished. He'd been utter garbage since that long term injury in Jan 17 and the comments to The Sun, but games like this and the Barcelona match show that he is getting back to his best. Still would like to see him bursting forward at pace a bit more but there were one or two signs of that part of his game coming back towards the end.
I love his passion. I think that the nature of football means that you can very quickly become yesterday's man when you aren't playing or are out of form. Rose has had a lot of injury issues in the last couple of years, which can happen. He has obviously pushed himself to get fit but just not had the luck. At his best, he is still one of the best left backs in the league.

It's been great seeing getting back to that kind of form.

He also suffers from depression, of course, which is at least as big a hurdle to overcome as the physical issues. I too love his passion and that’s what will see him through. That and his obvious connection with Pochettino.

That's why if Poch was to leave it would fuck him and the rest of this team :(

Slowly but surely he’s getting back into that best LB in the Prem form from a couple of years ago. If he stays fit, he is one hell of a LB.

Anyone have footage of the "dive"? Also keen on the Seri challenge on Jan. Was working so didn't get to watch the match

It wasn’t a dive IMO. The Fulham player just charged into him and knocked him off balance. Definite penalty for me.

Just watching the game again. It was disgraceful he wasn't sent off for it. Total scissors tackle no where near the ball or any intent to play the ball.
