People forget that his English isn’t very good which makes his performances more impressive

It’s incredible how good he’s been in his first season in the prem at such a young age coming from abroad. Fantastic signing.

He is an awesome defender already. So impressed. Has everything and will just get better.

Will be a much better player than vvd imo.

very happy Liverpool paid what they did for Vvd... It just means that this young man by the end of next season will be worth upwards of £100 million if he continues to improve.

Having a high value is nice. But.... I'd rather he just stayed!

Yes fully agree. Im no way advocating he be sold... I have no doubt as he continues to improve there will be bids coming in. We can however quote a ridiculous figure to ward off any interest.

21 year old comes straight in at CB and - on the whole -plays like a boss. Has given us a very nice cushion re.Toby's injury.

Also allows Poch to make sure Toby is absolutely 100% before he brings him back.

If this is Sanchez's first season, imagine him after 2/3.

Was thinking that yesterday especially for a CB. I think 24 is when you really see you players turning into men like kane this season. If you look at Kane at 21 compared to now the difference is quite striking. I never thought of Kane as a beast in first 2 seasons. If anything the opposite. But now he’s absolutely terrifying. Can only imagine Sanchez as a 24-30 yr old in his prime.

Surprised theres no comments from last night as i thought he bossed it. Really calm and assured on the ball.

Going to get better and better over the next 18 months.

There is a reason he's our most expensive acquisition. I'm also hopeful that this is marker of our intent. We're willing to throw big money at young talented players. I think very little was made of how much we paid for him in the summer, which was actually helpful. But a 21 year old cb coming in from Ajax, no English, and £40m from a club with tight purse strings...

Re Yawa,

I thought Verts bossed it and Sanchez was a fantastic deputy. He's already "very good" but feel he's not quite at Verts and Toby's level.....which is world class at the moment. Those two are clearly in their peaks.

He did everything right, was strong, mostly passed well and held his position. Feel he needs to become a leader in his own right and be able to dictate in his own right. That's not criticism as he's 21 and outranked by the two best CBs in the prem.

Therefore I feel he's 'great' at the moment but not 'excellent'. When you consider his potential and first season he's been fantastic. I hope that makes some sense.

Completely agree. He was great last night and didn't do anything wrong, but Vertonghen was even better. At one point he just took the ball off Lukaka, it wasn't even a tackle he just took it and left him behind. It was beautiful.
