Love this guy, plays and behaves in very mature way.... with the occasional brainfart.
Turning in to a monster of a defender though and he has the right mentality:

Davinson Sanchez pledges future to Tottenham Hotspur, even if Real Madrid come calling
http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2018/02/1...dges-future-to-tottenham-hotspur-even-if-rea/

The 21-year-old was asked where he sees his future and told Deporte RCN (Columbian press) that he will never move somewhere for the money and that he is happy at Tottenham:

"Let it be the best for me, I do not think about the money or where it is. Right now here in Tottenham I am very good.
“I am playing every three to four days. I am being important in the team."

He went on to suggest he could even turn down the lure of Real Madrid, if the conditions were better for him to remain at Spurs:
"As big as Madrid is, no matter how big a team, that has won what they have won, if the conditions are not favorable for me, unfortunately I can not accept.
“Everything depends on the moment, the conditions and what is best for me as a player what does not cut my career and what is not profitable to keep taking steps forward.”

Great attitude to have, and I feel like we specifically look for this in new recruits now which is great to see - valuing character as well as ability.
Got to give Levy, Poch & scouts some serious credit; picked up a virtual unknown CB from the Eredivisie, splashed a club record fee and he’s already one of the best in the league.
Nailed it.

All due respect, Davinson was no unknown quantity...Barcelona literally tried to sign him before Ajax, and after the monster season he had there I think scouts from everywhere were aware of his incredible potential. Still, I agree that you can really see the attention to character put in in the last few years and it 100% shows on the pitch!

Wait a minute, according to the pundits, nobody can say no to Real Madrid...

His quotes are very good to read.

It is interesting that we, as a club, have done well signing defenders but now every other club want our defenders.

However, we should also give credit to Ajax.

That is a great relationship for us. I hope we never piss them off.

They prob look at the relationship with us the same we look at our "relationship" with Real.

So Darren Lewis is at it again. Quelle surprise! He writes as if he is really put out that Sánchez 'has shattered suggestions' he could move to Real. And who made these 'suggestions' in the first place, you prize wanker?
(Probably one of your Gooner or Spammer colleagues at the Mirror... down the pub!)

A lot said about Eriksen and Dele, and rightly so, but this guy was my MOTM. Almost single handed-ly kept us in the game in the first half and was an absolute wall. He kept up with Willian and Hazard when they ran in behind and he won nearly every aerial duel (apart from the goal, which he probably thought Hugo was gong to claim it so he gets a pass). Chelsea had no answer for him. Worth every penny.

He reminded me of King today, he really did. I've been a little sceptical of him if I'm honest, think he's done well in our defence and he is young and new but I've thought that he'd looked a bit shaky at times in the past. Today he looked like an absolute monster but what I liked was that the performance was so mature too, he just looked really sure of himself and commanding. Was quick, strong and made vital tackles and interceptions.

Today's game more than any other has given me a lot of encouragement.

Should have been tighter on Morata for the goal and missed an interception at 3-1 that could have lead to another goal, but overall he was excellent. There was a period in the second half where he was getting his head on everything. If voters weren't so averse to giving end of season awards to defenders you'd like to think he'd be one of the favourites for Young Player of the Year.
