Puzzling how at times he can look really strong on the ball and others just clueless. I'm sure it just comes down to experience but something he definitely needs to improve upon.

Nothing puzzling about a young defender being schooled by Barca

Not about being schooled, although he wasn't schooled when facing Madrid last year... It's just about he seems to panic on the ball a lot.

It is a strange one. I think he is good on the ball but he does panic at times.

Hopefully this will improve with experience.

I remember once in the game he tried to clear a ball with his left foot or something and hit it straight to Messi, than another time in the second half he made a nice dribbling move to surpass the oncoming forward. Just think he needs to calm down.

I don’t get the cluelessness claims really. I think he’s a monster of a defender unfortunately we don’t have defensive minded full backs.

For all those critical of Walker we are much worse off defensively

Think it just comes down to experience for Dav. It does seem like the CB's are constantly having to sprint back due to players getting in behind the fullbacks and making their jobs very difficult.

I said this during the game, it was wrong by Poch to play him as the LCB instead of Toby. Toby is calmer with the ball and his passing in general is just better, Davinson had a hard time playing with his left foot. Poch should’ve changed this quicker

Colombia beat USA 4-2 last night. Sanchez doesn’t seem to have got the best reviews. Hopefully him and Toby can forge a solid partnership for the next 2 months.

He's had a bit of a wobble this year really - playing alongside Jan is likely to bring the best out of most players. He needs to learn to play with Toby as he's slightly lost his groove

I never really understood the hype last year. Yes he is powerful, but at times looks a total train wreck.

Let's not forget he's still only 22. Not many 22 year-old CB's capable of playing at his level, and he excelled in his first season here. I think it's an issue of form and confidence, he will only get better as the season goes on.

He's definitely at his best in the three, or to the right of Jan. Playing left of Toby he's looked awkward every time.

Having watched back the Arnautovic chance in the last minute I’m pretty convinced sanchez tackles him. Photo not conclusive but if you watch it a few times you can pick it up. If he did that’s tackle of the season can’t believe nobody picked it up.
