I've been slowly running out of patience with him this season, after championing him for the last couple of years. But I'm sure he'll sort himself out before long. I trust Pochettino.

So what you're saying is that now he's not scoring and assisting goals at a rate better than Lampard and Gerrard combined at same age, you're thinking of jumping off?

Bold strategy.:D

More amazing that everyone else who watches him is wrong and you are right.

So you actually think his playing style i suited to the way Barcelona play?

Your logic of "everyone else" is laughable. Do you for example think it was right that Alli got in the team of the year as a midfielder (ahead of eriksen!) last season when he actually play more as a striker?

And for that matter "everyone else" dosent think he is good enough for Barca.

Forget whether or not he is technically better than those you mention. he has scored 30 league goals in 70 starts for us as a non striker and he is only 21. Goals win games and end product is what makes him valuable. every team in the world will be interested in Dele and it is what would get him starts in even the best teams over technically better players.
I don't disagree but I think Alli would struggle in RM's system and they don't have the patience we have to stick by a player if he doesn't play well for a while. I rate Alli highly but he has not been his best this season I think it's fair to say. If he was a Madrid now he would have been dropped. I just think they would favour Asensio who only just signed a pretty big new contract with 442 mil release clause over Dele regardless of how many goals he scored last season. Asensio and Alli have different skill sets but they occupy the same role and Asensio is much more suited to the Real system, is highly regarded by the club and the fans, is also very young and he's Spanish. Why go and spend 100+ mil on player they don't need and is still very raw. I'm sure they are watching Dele closely but my point is that Barca would be more intrested in Alli now but they don't have the money and are a complete mess at the moment.

Dele is only 21, Son is 4 years older which is a huge factor as far as his appeal to the big clubs is concerned. If you are going to compare him to other players to prove your point then at least use players in a similar stage of their career's.
You also have to take into account the fact Dele has been hitting the net in big games as well.

When did Barça go broke? 2nd most revenue in the world?

Us Spurs fans. :p Dele is either this goal scoring God who shan't be criticised because he decides matches, or he is so flawed that we should consider calling back Onomah and asking Milton Keynes to take back Dele for a season or two.

The truth is too balanced to be worthy of all this fuzz. He is a match winning player whom we are fortunate to have. But he also has two or three blatant flaws that a top 4 team should desire to iron out quickly.

It shows how big of a talent he is, that people are critizing the shit out of him because he "only" has 2 goals and one assist in 7. Those numbers aren't prolific, but they aren't poor either. Yes Alli has holes in his game and yes he hasnt been as good as what he can be, but he's still doing a job for us and is an amazing talent that we should support regardless because we will miss him when he is gone.

It's happened. We're now spoilt.

To sell Alli would be awful. We might have to. But any fan thinking that it'd be a good idea, especially after the magnificent 7 Bale fiasco need to go and have a word with themselves.

There's no point trying to put forward Alli's case...it seems the tide has changed against him reading many of our own fans point of view. I suppose he will be one of those players you either love or hate.

I think he's a fantastic player and you can tell there's more to come from Alli not just goals.

Tell us his blatant flaws please. Heaven forbid Kane stops scoring for excessive long periods.

What would be Kane's flaws?

We are definitely becoming spoilt

i think his best attribute is his movement, which is the reason he scored so much last season. of course he still has much to learn to become a more complete and mature player, but it doesn't change the fact that he is a very good player who we should make every effort to keep

Spoilt? SPOILT? So Dele's flaws aren't his to improve, but the fans' faults due to being spoilt. That must be the weakest Dele Alli argument I have seen in writing this season.

He has an anger management issue, which causes him to be ineligible for several matches. IF he is so fantastic and above criticism, then surely stupid red cards should be a major problem, even to the blindest fan.

His first touch, when it is about nudging the ball into the back of the net, is superb. But when it is about receiving the ball on the ground in the final third and moving it onwards to create something dangerous, he stumbles too often like Bambi, and especially in what would have been dangerous situations.

He loses possession too often in the final third in a stumbling, banal sort of way. And Pochettino hates losing possession.

That being said, Dele is easily among our 11 best injury free, match fit-ish players.

Look, plenty of fans seem to think that "supporting a player" means "never ever say a word that is anything less than a flowery, shiny compliment". But that is just not the case. You can still support a player, even if you can't accept some of his mistakes.
