He should be managed like King was in his final few seasons, prioritize the biggest games where we need him & work around that.

Yeah, Utd would probably bring in a replacement, sell Onomah then buy him back for 85m 4 years later.

He's never been much of a goal scorer anyway.

Yes but all of them clubs are pretty soul-less.

Much more pleasure in bringing one of your own through and seeing the thrive.

With this kinda mentality wind clock back few seasons ago and you didn't have been saying would the above clubs have been happy bringing Kane through rather than buying someone. And he isn't doing too badly now...

And them clubs WISH they had Winks

Bringing our own youngsters through will allow us to pay better wages at a time where we're under pressure financially for a few years. If using Winks and Onomah helps us to keep hold of Toby and Verts for example, I'm all for it.

Clearly has a problem that will need managing but I don't see any quotes from Poch saying he won't be 100% fit again?

Most of us agree that Wanyama is the superior DM to Dier but do you prefer Winks over Dembele at this moment? Dembele has been (and still is) my favorite spurs player to watch when he is at his best - he's the only player in our team that can get past players with an almost certainty plus that enormous physique and presence he has in midfield. Half tank - half maestro. But lately i'm starting to lean against Winks.. He's much more effective in possession and basically does what Dembele does in a much more simple manner. Dembele still has his physique.. but i feel Winks has improved a lot defensively this year as well. He never stops running and he's got that aggressive mentality. Real dilemma.

I think Dembele is looking pretty fit and strong and I think after a few games he will be a monster for us again. Would actually like to see Posh try him further forward where he can win fouls on the edge of the box and make space for others with his dribbling ability.

The only question I have about Dembele is his fitness.
Some/many fans seem to expect too much from him. Dembele is a holding midfielder - and how many holding midfielder score plenty of goals, set up a thousands chances a game etc. etc.?
To be a holding midfielder he must be one of the few, if not the only one (in the EPL) who receives such close markings. I noticed that as soon as he receives the ball there is a player already close to him, and often 1 or 2 in his path. Which is treatment more often received by players further up-field and even then reserved for top players, like Hazard, Kane...
However, even though he's one of my favourite players at Spurs, I would not mind if Spurs sold him IF - I repeat IF - 1) Spurs considered his fitness to be deteriorating (hope not), 2) and they received a hefty fee for him.
Winks has really stepped up this season, and - as pointed out - improved defensively.

back from match - and at half time thought that this was a game crying out for Moussa.

However, he contributed little and was far less effective than would have imagined him to be.

Know still working back to match fitness but definitely something missing

He's not fit. Looks like he did in the early seasons for us when he had that hip injury. Not quite as fluid. Let's hope he can play through it.

I thought the match was crying out for him and i thought he did fairly well tbh.

He confronted them and battled well and caused them to have to commit when we had possesion.
Not at his best but looked fine from where i was watching from.

He was pretty much a passenger. Looks miles away from where he was when he was pretty much injury free

Seems incredibly frustrated with his fitness and niggles

    Real shame atm

Wasn't perhaps as dynamic as he can be in terms of taking people on, but I thought he used the ball quite intelligently. Not at 100% but nothing too worrying given he's not played all that much recently.

Thought he was ok, played safe. Hope we get to see more dynamism from him, hope it ain't over. It's too too early in his career for it to be over.
