Struggling to see what our fans seem so desperate to sell bundles of our players? Yes, we had a bad season last year and yes, so did plenty of players but the way people just want to chuck them out instantly for a new shiny toy straight away is sad.

I would be happy if we didn't sell anyone until January.
Think in this case Dembele has been at the Club 2 seasons and done nothing, injured a lot. IMO Dembele is one of those weird footballers that has ability, but he just doesnt suit any position.

Maybe but are we going to lose anything by holding on? Doubt his value would drop that much, if anything January is a better market to sell.

No point keeping him if he's not going to play though. Who knows, Poch might really like him, but for me and quite a few others on here we feel his passing is just not going to be up to it.

do you think sandro, capoue and paulinho are superior in that regard?

Pretty much yes, Sandro's passing is more than good enough for the role he should be playing, and I'd say both Paulinho and Capoue's passing is slightly better then Dembele's.

paulinho's passing is poor at best. He can knock around 10 yard passes under no pressure, no problem. Ask him to play a clever diagonal or open up a back four and he's left wanting.

I didnt try to make him out to be Glenn Hoddle, I said "slightly better" than Dembele's.

Id say they're similar in passing ability. Its quite worrying actually, other than eriksen we don't have anybody that can find a final ball.

If we sell Dembele it will be to do with his fitness issues. According to Wilmots he can't play two games a week. That is not good enough for us unfortunately.

Should open up a chance for Holtby, but he's got to find some form in a Spurs shirt. Sometimes its all good talking about getting better passers in, but not to the detriment of results.

Been saying this for ages. It's a big problem and why I'm concerned that we don't ever seen to be linked to these type of midfielders, whilst the teams ahead of us are full of them.

The thing that I found difficult to stomach about our players last season was their lack of fight when the chips were down. That was the worst I can remember from our team. Sandro knocking water bottles over with roundhouse kicks in the changing room was about as close as we got to fighting spirit from that lot.

Maybe that lack of fight from the players is a reason why our fans wouldn't be too worried about seeing the back of some of our players!

To be fair imagine you start a new job and some of your colleagues are the best in the business who contribute in bringing you all success. Then your MD replaces the best workers with younger guys who aren't as good but they don't cost as much and have potential.

Your success begins to fade away as the new guys aren't quite as good (understandably) as before and then your manager gets sacked and replaced with someone who has never done the job before meaning the likelihood of more success being even further away.

How you feeling? Rightly or wrongly to our players this is a job and they need the right set up to succeed.

Perfect player for bringing the ball out from the back, can also drop a shoulder in more advanced positions, and strong enough to challenge the opposition.
I'm fairly confident there is a Carrick/Alonso style player in there. I just hope Pochettino can bring it out as Moussa could be a huge asset but, as has been pointed out, he will be entering his third season with us and really needs to start imposing himself on games.

His passing is no where near good enough to be that type of player!

I think he's fairly effective in the position he usually plays, he (as others have mentioned) goes missing sometimes.

I'd personally keep him.

I would prefer to see him deployed in a wide forward position more where he can attack the defence and use his dribbling ability and strength on the ball closer to goal.
