Weird, I watched every game last season (only 3 live, granted) and the statistics show that he only had 2 assists for us, both coming in the Europa league against sub-prem standard teams?
Playing great passes dosent always end in a goal.
Build up play with intelligence is more what im saying, Holtby and Lamela for the Cardiff goal.
Holtby played a cruical role with a nice one two with Lamela.
Plus Bobbies goal against Villa, were Holtby exchanged passes with Paul.
Paul had a shit season but still manged 8 goals.

I know some on here rate him but I never have. I fail to see what he brings to the side. Yeah yeah I know, we have a lot of mediocre players but at least with some you see a little bit of magic now and again. Dembele has always struck me as bang average.

On his day he's capable of completely dominating the midfield. He's a physical beast who never loses the ball and wins every tackle.

Unfortunately, that seems to happen less and less often as time goes by.

It's what he does when he has the ball that's the problem.

Exactly this - all the physical and most of the technical attributes to be a top CM, but the 6 inches between his ears let him down 9 times out of 10.

We desperately need someone to step up and fill that spot next to Mason. At the moment it looks like we're relying on Stambouli or Bentaleb to do it.

I miss Sandro :(

And Sandro probably misses our physio room.

Still can't believe we sold him to QPR. Even with the injuries I think he added more to the club than any of our current midfielders.

Such a dynamic player at Fulham, a dynamic debut and goal for us, but went south after that. Perhaps its his dodgy hip, perhaps AVB is to blame, but he offers little to nothing now. His slow-rolling horizontal passes are a real momentum killer.

Not that he's the answer to the current malaise, but I miss Sandro too. Pointless to sell him for as little as we did, and he certainly isn't any worse than the sh1te we are serving up at the moment. He was a great teammate, with an infectious personality, most fans loved him and his passion was there for all to see. We ended up spending the proceeds on Stambouli and he can't even get a game despite our poor performances. I guess Levy must be thinking he got Stambouli on the cheap because of his contract situation and can sell him for a profit, but there isn't gonna be a profit if he doesn't play!

He could be quality behind the striker. Unfortunately we already have too many players that have the same position.

He could be a real star at another club that views him as one of their best players and idolises him, like Gylfi at Swansea. If he's not playing here then I hope for his sake he moves on. He can be a top player.
