Di Marzio says we're in talks with Lamela over a new contract.

https://gianlucadimarzio.com/it/tottenham-lamela-prove-di-rinnovo

Yet another season with the Tottenham jersey and a future more and more in ... Premier League . Renewal tests underway between the British company and Erik Lamela , Argentine talent class 1992: talks started for the extension of the contract, with the parties who are defining the duration of the new agreement that should be 2021 or 2022.
Not gonna happen. The experts here have already said he's useless and "will be gone at the end of the season.*"

Scored a hattrick in a training ground friendly and was influential in other goals as well. Promising for him to grow off a strong and full preseason after the way he ended the season. Really excited for what he will bring to the team this year as an additional creative outlet on the field.

If he manages to hit his form of 2015/16 after a full pre-season...

...I'm gonna say it...

...he'll be like a new signing.

I’m still waiting for him to be sold. I was guaranteed by multiple people on this site that it was definitely going to happen in 2014.

Read the match report. Seems to have continued his poaching from the Leicester game. Might be evolving his game into more of a second striker/false 9 option than a wide man. I think it suits him.

You guys will like this ? but his early Italian form shows he knows where the back of the net is (1 in 3). Wouldn’t mind seeing play more advanced. Not saying an out and out striker but almost that sheringham type player. I think he’s got the cleverness for it. I think he was playing very advanced in the Leicester last game.

He can still be influential out wide but I think he's best in the middle of the pitch.

He played a second striker role for Roma back in 2012/13, before joining us. Linked up well with Totti and scored fifteen goals.

Was just watching those highlights. Really wish we could have swung a double from Roma and gotten Pjanic from them instead of Paulinho. Our midfield would have been set!

If Lamela keeps adding goals, there's no way Poch can leave him on the bench. He would become one of our most complete players (well, if you forget that amputated right foot some fans keep claiming he has). Dele and Son better watch out!
