I don't see how that's any kind of excuse. For a start, sponge bags aren't brandished. Not in the civilised world. They live in a dank corner of one's (sober, unflashy) overnight bag.

And look at the state of his jeans.
You probably want him to get off your lawn as well...correct?

I think players should arrive at training with their boots tied together at the laces and hung around their necks.
With a tesco plastic carrier bag with a tub of dubbin, muscle rub and tape plus a couple of oranges. What more do you need?

Worth noting that whilst OS posted pictures of him and Jan etc returning to training, he wasn't actually seen in the short video clip posted. One would assume they are going to take it very slowly with him. The biggest tell will be when he team travel to he US. If he needs time to work on his fitness he may well be left behind.

It will be great to finally have him back fit and competing for a starting spot. I'm sure that I read in some "red top rag" that he had another operation during the spring and it was suggested he not be back until October - really hope this is not the case.

So many times I forget he plays for us recently. Nothing against him as i rate him higher than most, think it's because of how great we were last season.

Think he's probably months away but might be a nice addition to November schedule. Frustrating really because with Dele being out suspended and Son injured he'd probably have started fair few games beginning of season.

His career here is in the balance really dependent on who we sign, if we just sign Barkley then he's got a chance still but if we sign Barkley and another attacking mid then I think his time is over here.

Seems highly unlikely he would be ready to play - given the initial estimates of October. I'll be shocked if he travels to the US.

Probably good for his morale to travel with the squad, even if he's on his own training schedule.

Will be great to have him back and actually have a dangerous attacker to bring off the bench. How did we manage with sissoko as our first sub "game changer"!!!

I read an article in the independant after his second surgery saying he would be back for the start of the season. Truth be told its just guess work and i bet Lamela and our physios only have a possible, not probable return date in mind

Back in Pre but not expected fit for August games. Good to have him back with the squad though, been tough 2017 for him.

In terms of team building and bringing him back into the fold, I fully expect him to travel to the US with the other players. He can do his rehab there and he'll spend time with his teammates.

Shame it took so long to get the op but I understand it's the last resort to open you up and have a look around.

I think players should arrive at training with their boots tied together at the laces and hung around their necks.

And have to get changed into their kit on the touchline cos the benches are broken in the changing room and the toilet is permanently put out of action due to continuous floaters not flushing down the years.

And my uncle will take training as the boss has been stuck in traffic (not arrested for drunk and disoŕderly as rumoured).

And a couple of copy books stuck down the socks as there are no Shin pads left in the basket..........

Sorry, I got stuck in a flashback there.......back to Lamela, good to have him back!
