I dont understand why someone showing support for one of our players is immediately called a fanboy.

I totally understand and see the quality he brings to the team and having a fit Erik back in our squad is a big plus for us.

Do I think he's better than Eriksen? No I don't think he is, but it baffles me when people cannot see what he brings to the team, and by that I mean the positive things.

Because people like to troll and by saying that they know it will cause a reaction.

Will be great to have him back but also expecting him to take a few months at least to develop his form

Hope fans are patient as we have seen in the past he takes time to get his touch and game awareness up

Dele is undroppable to Poch, not gonna happen.
I never said he'd get dropped, I'm hoping that having the extra competition and therefore possibilities for rotation will make Dele work even harder (I have no idea how hard he works at the moment mind) and return him to top level performances and push him on to even greater ones.

Having said that, I don't believe for one second that Poch sees anyone (yes, even Harry) as undroppable. He'll do what he sees as being best for the team. If Dele were to start resting on his laurels and Son and Lamela are fighting tooth and nail to get in the first team and outperforming him in games and on the training pitch, then he will (eventually) find himself more out than in the starting line up.

Lamela being back means we have great depth at AM, not even mentioning gkn, edwards and anyone else. 4 top players for 2 positions is perfect.

Still not back for West Ham.

Poch comments last week about having to try and convince Erik that he's ready mentally, as physically he's now training with the squad and in theory ready.

Bit worrying to be honest, Erik sounds worried about injury. You'd hope he'd be chomping at the bit to get back to playing but he seems to have been deeply affected by his injury problems.

After two long and uncertain layoffs I'd be surprised if there wasn't something physiological hanging over him. In his mind he doesn't know how long it will be before he suddenly has another year off injured because it has proved entirely possible on two occasions. Nobody knows really.

Any chance of seeing Lamela on the bench this weekend?
I guess we will find out when Poch has his presser. He seems to be fully fit, just needs to feel comfortable playing competitive football. Here’s hoping it won’t be long.

I guessed it would have helped, with the other two Argentines, Foyth and Gazzaginga, joined. Too bad they are not first-teamers themselves to motivate Lamela to stake a place in the starting XI.

Could work the other way having Lamela as the senior player helping Foyth especially settle in London.

Hope he's back at the weekend, like a new signing for us

From today's presser:

Is it more a mental thing with Lamela now?
No, not mental. His problem was and is real. I think he's close. Maybe after the international break he can be available we hope. It's so close. For Sunday it's so difficult but maybe two weeks, he can be available for the team again.

Alli, Eriksen and Kane all look so good when they're connecting in the final third, especially on the break. Add Lamela to that mix as well and fucking hell... Can't wait to see him back.

Delayed again though, we keep hearing the same thing, about how close he is, but not quite there.

The return date moves forwards as fast as the expected return.

He had multiple hip surgeries on his right and left hip, he can't be rushed back, if I had to guess I would say he would be back late November for sure, providing there is not setbacks.

I don't think he has been this close though. His problem was obviously both complex and serious. If he has waited a year to come back then a couple of weeks longer is hardly a big deal.
