The tackle was entirely clean, not sure why he would have been in trouble?

It was a bit of a caterpillar breakdance tackle, thought he was going to back spin into a windmill, alas not.

Was epic Lamela I thought that, everyone in the team gets a buzz, the crowd create it a secondary wave. It made me smile and think Coco is back.

Erik Lamela vs Newport

One of the few players that enjoys playing give and goes. He makes so many line cutting passes with one touch too. He is a great player to have at our disposal when on form and he might not score as much, but I am in the camp that he is a better option in some games than Dele because of his work rate, creativity, and ability to make one touch ball a thing.

It was good to see him being played in the central attacking mid role. I know it was newport but he looked like it was his natural place to play and he was trying and completing a lot of great passes and really controlled the tempo well. Hopefully if he can keep injury free he can have a great rest of the season.

I love Dele but sometimes I'm screaming at him to play a first-time pass to a player running forward, only for him to casually take it in his stride, turn, jog a little bit, and then play a sideways/backwards pass to someone unable to continue penetrating the opposition.

Edit: Removed original comment cause I totally missed that you were commenting on Dele...yes, I agree with that. He holds the ball far too long 50% of the time.

Don't wont to turn this into a Dele bashing ( and you are, by no means bashing him) but this annoys the supreme hell out of me. Its frustrating because for the simple one-time pass to speed up play, he'll linger on the ball and slow things down but in the same game he'll perform a first touch back heel nutmeg with ease to put Kane in :ROFLMAO:

Despite it being against newport thats video shows just how good lamela is at knitting forward pkay together between the lines. The second he releases a pass he immediatly makes himself available again. He plays so intelligently and is a goalscorers dream to be fed those passes.
I do get the impression that we do underestimate him a lot and he needs more gametime. He is the kind of player who if he was at a team like barca everybody would gush over and rave about because he would be amongst more intellegent footballers with similar game styles.
He is much the better footballer than alli and id like to see alli drop from no10 to cm in favour of lamela.

It was the little smile that did it.

I like to think that Pochettino had a word to him before sending him on that was something along the lies of (in Spanish): "Get stuck into that absolute **** WIlshere." Good job, Coco.

Getting back to his best now. Great to see those sliding tackles from miles away...:cautious: (OK I could do without those)

lovely pass that Alli should've buried though and made some great forward forays that could (perhaps should) have led to one goal at least.

And wound up Wilshere which is obviously worth bonus points.

Perhaps the FA could count that ahead of goal difference at the end of the season :p

He really hates Arsenal and Chelsea and he really tried hard to score and be the one to end Arsenal's hope and laugh in everyone's face and watch them suffer. Every team needs one or two guys like that. Alli also has that in him.

Just seen that stat, 3 bookings this season. Welcome back Coco
He should just miss the cut off for ten bookings/suspension

Perhaps that's why his been bought back later than expected ;)

You do worry after he's been booked though that he'll carry on flying in to tackles. His enthusiasm is infectious though.

Really liked Allis reaction when Kane scored as well. He was really happy and screaming his lungs out. He was loving it.
