Can lamela become world class ? We know kane is world class, ali has the potential, eriksen is also great and close to being world class, son is consistent goal scorer, moura so far looks like a good deal. But what actually lamela brings and what is his potential in terms of long term? Do we sell lamela and bring someone like malcom who is touted as the next big thing or just stick with lamela?
You don't sell players you add player's.
We Need 6 AM (good ones)
Adding Malcom will add pressure and competition and that's exactly what we need if we want to compete in all competition's.
If we're selling Sissoko would be my first out.

Hercules said that Lamela has a lot to do to to persuade the club that he ought to be retained beyond this summer.

How much more convincing does he have to do? I think almost every game he's played after coming back from his injury has been excellent. He was consistently one of our top 3 players before his hip injury. He embodies Poch's philosophy more than any other player in the team which is why I don't buy this argument. I personally see it as brinkmanship from the club hierarchy to perhaps get a favorable deal from his next contract.

Without getting the bed-wetters ‘Lamela fan club’ out, please take my question in the context I mean it constructively.

Would he get into Yanited, citeh, Liverpuddle? Can this be answered without blinkers please. Enthusiasm, and energy is one thing, but have we moved on? Is he a game changer? Because these are the questions I personally believe he has to answer.

He does some lovely, neat things, but he still does lots of things that drive me around the twist.

Yeah he'd get into Liverpool, arsenal and maybe Chelsea's squad but not the Manchester clubs.
Seems about right, he's blatantly talented , I'm not sure how we've moved on from him. It's a squad game at Spurs and he's a good option

The teams I mentioned is the only teams (progress) I’m speaking about. If we had an option of say Malcom or Lamela? As we had to make space, due to small squad Poch likes, then what choice would you make, based on that option? That is how you have to view it.

Lamela.

Malcom is a unknown quantity in this league and someone imo wouldn’t like it or would take a while to do this pressing and the hard work poch demands.

We are all entitled to our opinion, and wonder if your response is really objective.

Until Poch can take out Alli I don't know the worth of updating other players.

Starting to think there is some boardroom politics in this. It might be hard for Poch to play the argentine over the english golden boy, even though Lamela is so much more talented.

I would keep Lamela over Alli any day. Alli wouldnt be near any of the other top teams starting eleven.

WALOB - Dele did more in half a season than Lamela’s done in 4 years at spurs. Dele is 21 years old FFS.

Lamela wouldn’t get in any of the top 6 teams starting 11

I honestly cannot take you serious with your analysis
