hopefully it doesn't keep him out of the Newcastle game.

Want him playing October 20 against West Ham too, there's someone who needs to be reminded that they're a pussy.

Yeah just read that. No reason to disbelieve him so that's a bit of a relief.
Agree, if it was serious surely he would be sent back home like Foyth was. And Poch would probably be a lot more vague about his chances of playing against Milan even if it was troubling. It's not uncommon for players to pick up slight problems during preseason.

Have to say that itk seems somewhat unlikely as Poch said himself it was minor and they didn’t send him home as think he will be fit for Milan. He also trained if lightly for 40 minutes doing laps at open session. Sounds unlikely he’d be doing that if In agony.

I banged my little toe this morning, on the corner of the bed. Fucking agony defined. But it was over in less than a minute. Maybe Lamela had just done the same? Anyway, niggles and bumps happen all the time. None of which mean it'll be a long standing issue.

Ever trod on a piece of Lego barefoot? Or an upturned plug? Childbirth my arse, that's proper agony.

So let me get this right, we already have injuries to Wanyama, Lamela, Sissoko, Winks and Foyth and we had 9(?) players in teams that played the maximum amount of games at the World Cup who so far have had no preseason whatsoever.

Poch has said this morning that Lamela and sissoko aren’t serious. Foyth I think was thigh so that’s probably nothing major. Winks was in 1st day pre season doing gym so he’s probably not far off. The only major concern is wanyama.

The question is, will Lamela still be able to enjoy what people keep refering as a full preseason?

If he can play against Milan as Poch suggest then yes, if he's out till the first game of the season or after then no. Missing a few days is not that much of a problem, pretty common for returning players to pick up slight muscle strains.

A video of the players arriving in Minneapolis off the plane, last night, showed Lamela walking down the stairs unassisted, without crutches/a boot and carrying his own bag.

Given others have been sent back to recover in England with injuries then I can only assume that this is not too serious and that hopefully the Goat was mistaken...

Good news. Weird that that info made the RO tbh, cause it got everybody all worked up over pretty tenuous info that somebody’s mate had seen Lamela with a pained expression on his face at a hotel.

I think he is forgetting he is a modern day footballer here, what is he thinking in carrying his own bag!

Strange he stayed with them even if he wasn't going to play. I wonder how touch and go it was. Hopefully play on the weekend.
