I really hope this isn't another of those mystery muscle injuries that keeps him out for x amount of months.

Being realistic and looking at the injuries he's had I'd say he'll keep picking them up. This one might be little but he'll always be close to his next injury.

Such a shame & frustrating that he seems to be injured so much and always at pivotal times where it seems as though he has turned a corner and is really going to kick on and be that player we know he can be.

Anyone know any details of his wage structure?

With his injury history, I can't believe he'd be on £100k a week, unless that's the top end of his wage with appearance bonus etc.

"a short-term muscle injury but is expected to return soon" im not trying to be a glass half empty kind of guy... but that is what the OS said for much of last season. Real shame he only played one pre season match. Need him more then ever with Son off soon.

That literally doesn't tell us what the injury is. Short term muscle injury could be so many different things.
It tells me he has a muscle injury. Should only be short term.
What more do you need to know?
I'm not a doctor or medically experienced, maybe you are, but if they told me more it wouldn't mean anything to me anyway.

well short term muscle injury clears up its not a reoccurrence of his hip joints issue I think, nor a serious tear/break

just depends of whether you trust the club's updates anymore

Funny how the club is making sure to say "short term" in the hope that us fans won't lose our shit even more after the no transfers debacle :D

Could be a muscle around the hip... Point is we have no idea.

I really want him to be back...,, he is a work horse which and a nasty energizer bunny... so frustrated. I doubt Poch had renew the contract if his hip did not recovered. I hope is some strain in the tigh or calf... finger crossed ? Lamela and Moura played well together.

There's a picture of him taking part in today's training on the OS. Hopefully he'll be back in the squad this weekend.

Would be great to have him on the bench. It is not pretty looking without he, Son and Winks in the squad.
