Something's been up with him this year, too many mystery injuries since he's been here.

Plus if go 3-4-3 there's only two "No 10" spots by Kane, we need someone to better to raise the level and challenge Eriksen and Allii. Ideally Isco, even if it's a long shot.

The boy's never had a shot at the Demi-10 area Eriksen has had in the 3-4-3 my feeling is Lamela was born for that.

My hope (given the other presented speculated reasons!) is that he got over trained and his body stopped cycling acid efficiently enough, leaving residues in his hip area which scans can't detect but he can feel. He doesn't deserve dumping if that's the case.

This is the sort of shit that happens when a player fails a drugs test. The fact Grey Fox is mentioning legal issues suggests the injury is BS.

Just my take on it.

Look I like the lad and appreciate the effort he puts in. But he missed almost a whole season when he got here, with an "injury" which was basically that he was mentally shot and being taken out of the firing line, and now he's going to miss the whole of this one, again with questions as to whether it's not really a physical problem.
Pretty sure everyone said it was a back injury, not really a 'mystery' and nobody's said anything to the contrary.

Thats fair value i think 20million. Wouldnt get in the Arsenal/Liverpool/City/Chelsea teams.

He's only rated by a fanboy club on here.
Who gives a flying fuck if he wouldn't get into their teams. Neither would Alli.

And he's not just rated by a 'fanboy club' on here. The majority of Spurs fans rate him from my experience.

In a world where a 27-year old Moussa Sissoko costs £30million, Lamela does not cost £20million.

And also, any 'questions' about whether his problem is 'physical' have been entirely dreamed up by some conspiracy theorists on social media.

Not at all. I agree with most of what you say, talk of selling him for 20m is nonsense, but I don't read social media conspiracies, I read Poch's words, and he is questioning his mentality. He says there's no injury on the scan, and that he needs to be positive and work through the pain, and that positivity will cure it. Just read his words, it's clear as day.

"It's important to change a little bit in his mind" - straight from Poch's mouth, months ago. I dunno how anyone can read that run of quotes I just posted and not see the bigger picture. Poch is frustrated, showing it at every turn, but trying to stay positive because that's what he thinks Lamela needs.

The whole reason he went to Rome was he needed a change of scenery for his mind, as much as his body - he didn't like being the only injured player when everyone else was fully fit.

This is now not the case, and we've had players with worse injuries coming back quickly, so Poch is challenging him to get back like others have. It's dragging on, and still no end in sight, despite doctors in Italy and England saying there's nothing wrong with him.

I don't think we will see him again this season. It sounds like he hasn't even been running since November, so he is unlikely to make it back to the levels Poch needs/demands by the end of the season, especially since he still hasn't started training fully yet.

Whilst a few have mentioned it must be mental rather than physical as it wasn't picked up in a scan, I don't think that is concrete, as things like fibromyalgia were have been considered to be "all in the head" by many doctors until recently. Also, if memory serves, didn't the first few scans of Lamela's injury in his first season reveal nothing?

Not sure, do they have Synovial Fluids Analysis done for this?

He takes a knock, fatigued, it damages an area already backed up with Lactic/Uric acid, some crystallisation...

Fibromyalgia usually responds really well to a chi machine if you know someone suffering. They are pricey, but usually offered with a 2 week trial.

have one, love it, don't sell them or have any affiliation.

Testimonial video =

They are licensed in Australia, Germany and others, the recovery scientist at HSV uses them. They cost more because you have to buy from Australia for the power, but can get them second hand on eBay, I did.

Maybe you can explain what @Grey Fox posted earlier, then? I'll be genuinely happy to delete my post if I missed where this was explained in another post.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist but I know for a fact that clubs have covered up drug and other related bans many times in the past, by citing prolonged injury, to protect the player's value.

The recent Berahino story was only leaked by WBA out of spite for hoe he behaved, I promise you it really is not a one-off.

It may well be an injury, but I don't see why we can't interpret the ITK like literally any other thread...

well, some dude on the Spurs show was hinting about his sexuality playing some part in all of this so at this point its starting to sound somewhat plausible to me at least.
I'm not sure what your understanding is of sexuality, but to the best of my knowledge, sexuality can't keep you out of football for three months.

Also he has a very attractive girlfriend.

ERIK LAMELA
Left hip injury

Erik is making progress and is now working on the field. No date is yet confirmed for a return to full training and his recovery continues to be monitored.

DANNY ROSE
Left knee MCL injury

Danny continues to recover and rehabilitate, but remains a number of weeks away from full training.

So all in all, still pretty vague about Erik - bad news about Danny, was hoping he might not be out quite as long as this.

Agree with your views on Lamela. But just had to stop you on this one point. Alli would get into every team in this league. He's possibly the most valuable asset in the entire league.
