The guy barely plays, and people are slating him for having a poor game.

If I were Poch I'd be less concerned with Llorente, and more concerned with Rose and Trippier's delivery or lack thereof.

Llorente had one or two chances yesterday, when he should have had five or six. It's not like we didn't get the ball wide and in a position to cross, we just didn't deliver.

Why all the excuses for Llorente? He is a highly experienced player who knew exactly what the situation was when he signed for Spurs. if he can’t put in a performance when needed what is the point of having him ? He didn’t even keep their CDs occupied yesterday. Hopeless display from him.

I've just watched the highlights again. Nothing to say on his performance that hasnt been said but i did notice that he cut a very isolated figure when it wasnt going his way. Normally we see the other players geeing each other up and offering encouragement. that said it could have been camera angles and production but makes me wonder how integrated he is or confidence the team has in him?

I am sure Lorente will start on Thursday. Chelsea are not good in the air at the back. He’s had his loosener so I look forward to him scoring , as he normally does when he starts, as long as it’s not another own goal.
Give him a chance.

That's an incredibly juvenile comment. Even Harry Kane has an off day every now and then. Is the concept of "form" beyond you?

As I said in the match ratings last night, there was a close up replay shot of him after the own goal and you could see in his eyes how crushed he was by it. He didn't snap out of it all game really after that.

It's not just Llorente that needs time to adjust. Everyone else needs to get used to Kane and Son not being in the side. We no longer have pace and power up front, but we do now have a good hold-up player, and a proven finisher inside the box. Systems and tactics will need tweaking. Takes time.

Lol

He is Kane’s back up if he can’t perform when required there is no point in having him.
don't think there are much players that can meet your requirement, while those can perform without consistent playing time won't sit at the bench for us

Call me crazy but there was enough in his performance to give me hope he can help get us through this injury crisis.

Two glorious chances he'd usually never miss. Another where he turned his opponent and got in at goal but took a heavy touch. These are crises of confidence not inability to play.

He also grew into the game as the hit up; hold up; dish off CF he should be. We don't play that style much so it's new for the team.

And apart from the own goal, he eventually became effective as a defensive presence in the box on their set plays. Fashioned a couple of breaks by winning the first header that we then squandered.

Clearly its not ideal but I think he provides a different way of playing - maybe a lesser plan B but at least its a plan B.

Not his best, but wont be on harsh on him as other people performers who are regulars like Trips etc. People talk like we found him off the street, his an ex Juve, serie a, world cup winner, his made a living off being a target man, dont ask him to run in behind etc, play to his strengths or dont bother playing him

Was really disappointed with his performance yesterday but hopefully he can bounce back.

but we don't play in a way that suits him when he is on the pitch, that's the problem imo

Ideally someone plays next to him so that he can do his target man stuff more than "leading the line". Hopefully Moura or Lamela can get into a little bit of form and work with him.

With Kane, Son and Dele out of the frame, are we really going to dump Janssen for £10m and leave ourselves with just Llorente?

Having played so little competitive football, we're a hamstring away from dipping into the academy.

He had two clear cut easy 'Target man' heading chances but couldn't finish either... You know someone is done when people have to go back to his past credentials, that was years ago he has clearly lost his reflexes. Have a look back at his chances he tried the header when the ball was way past him.

Klose has won the world cup, champions league ect that doesn't mean he's the same player today. Llorente can be an amazing target man coach but not a player, he knows what to do but his body can't react anymore.

Harry Kane misses chances all the time. Has he lost his reflexes too, or do you hold him to a different standard because of his age?

Kane scores goals continually but I agree with you about Llorente losing his reflexes.
