Agreed and, though it may come in time, it feels to me like you need to be a little smarter and/or stronger to cut in onto your strong foot. Would be better used as someone to stretch the game and could make a good combination with Trips at right back.

Kind of feel like he'd be a perfect RM in a 4-4-2 but, unfortunately for him, the game has moved on.
I wouldn't even mind him at RWB. It's an easy position to coach a winger into.

I think there's a player there didn't get much game time last season based on the preseason I expect him to see a lot more in cups and as a possible impact sub

He has now returned to training and football.london asked Pochettino exactly what the wide man needs to do now to get more game time under him.

"Try to work hard, try to perform as well during every single training session, be consistent," said the Spurs boss. "Today was his first training session with the group.

"Maybe it is too early for tomorrow but maybe he will have the possibility on Tuesday to play a little bit or from the start of the game."

"Yes, he feels more confidence. I think always when you are young when you come from a different country and culture always you need time," explained Pochettino.

"He is now more settled, more relaxed and calm. It was good in the pre-season, he played a lot of minutes and was unlucky he got an injury that put him out for a while. I think now he is motivated to try to show his quality and always that is welcome."

Sounds very encouraging for GKN.

a few times last season he came on and would do something crazy good but then the next play do something not so good.

if he could work on that then he'd be a handy player for us.

What are peoples thoughts on this guy? Outside his one assist that I can recall from last year, I can't think of much he has added.

I will admit, I said last week that I would rather see him than MSissoko, but I take that back. MSissoko has the experience so I will take that and he has shown more this year than he did last year.

Is GKN a lost cause?

I reckon he'd have been out the door this summer if he didn't have a chance.

If we got the pacey winger/striker many spoke of he probably would have been.i can understand he needs time. But I was expecting him to be more dynamic than he is.I can't really remember him running past people for fun like say a mane.

He tries to hard in his cameos. Needs to keep it a bit simpler if you ask me.

He definitely needs a loan in January, seems to have lost confidence in his own ability. I hope he comes good but Poch has some decisions to make. We have some youth players in Bennetts and Edwards, who I believe can do much better with the 10-15 mins that GKN has been getting here and there.

He's had very few minutes and they tend to be when the team isn't winning. When he does get on, he always plays it safe.

He's supposed to offer something different, instead he follows the trend of those already on the pitch and passes sideways until the ball gets to Eriksen.

YouTube highlights are carefully picked moments but I don't remember him dribbling past anyone. When he's in an ISO situation, he refuses to attack his man.

What's the point? Give his place on the bench to someone else.
