I think NKoudou should be looking at a player like Demari Grey similiar age and similar attributes but he affects games far more. When he gets his chance he needs to come on and be direct using his pace intelligently perhaps it is our style of play that is the problem. Personally I think we over pass sometimes wasting situations to get the ball into the box because the angle is not perfect.

Looks a lively player, a bit like Clinton, but doubt we'll ever see his ability at Spurs. A flair player like Dos Santos who never made it at Spurs either

He has no future here, unless a miracle happens
Genuinely annoyed he continues to get minutes and bench slots over any of our academy players or academy/first team hybrids. I don't rate Georgiou like some others do but I have a hard time seeing him as being worse for the final 5 minute sub/bemchwarmer spot.

I liked N'jie better. He showed better movement and got into decent positions. Unlucky to not get more goals.

Nkoudou does his shift, shift, shift, hopefull cross with his left foot thing, and that's generally all he has in his locker it seems.

I don't quite know what is wrong with GKN, but I don't think he has the scorching pace that Gray showed at the weekend, nor the power either-fuck me, that was awesome. Other than that, I cannot say I have seen an iota of footballing intelligence from him.

Spurs do have one natural winger at the club in 22-year-old Frenchman Nkoudou, but he has struggled for game time since signing in the summer of 2016. Pochettino admitted that the player is still not reaching the standards he wants.

"With GK we are waiting for him still. He is not... you know today he is not showing this condition to play," he explained.

"He needs to show more. But you know if a player is not involved too much it's because we believe that they need to show more to deserve to play."

In other words "he's not good enough" sadly.

Just got to try and get our money back for him. He was never good enough unfortunately. Doubt we will sell him in January though, he won't go until the summer, when if we want a tricky winger like he's meant to be, then we can't try and get that player on the cheap again.

Amazes me pro scouts can get it so wrong so often. I’d say on average we buy 1 good player 2 if lucky. Last year wanyama this year Sanchez.

I grew up watching the NBA and would like to think I know a great deal about the game. I have watched more NCAA ball than I would like to admit and when it comes to the NBA draft I always do a prediction. I am batting about .300 which in baseball isn’t bad, but when trying to predict youth that is a 30% hit rate and that doesn’t look the best on paper.

Potential is a betting mans game and sometimes you hit a home run with The Greak Freak who has the work ethic to match his incredible raw ability. Sometimes you are fooled by productivity and get an Adam Morrison who can’t even hit the three ball in the pros.

The basketball references might be off for this thread, but such is the way of scouting. It’s a fail more often than win scenario. We give plaudits to the likes of Sevilla, Monaco, Lyon and more but they also have less to lose in a sense. The EPL has the most competitive top 6-8 spots of any league and so we are under a powerful microscope. It’s a different world where they are and where cheap Development and gambles can take place.

If we had more time to devote to 10 GKN we would hit on 3 just like Monaco and the likes do. But we don’t have that luxury and that is why I think you see more focus on youth development. It’s more under our control.

What we need to be doing is buying assured talent like an Isco, Kovacic, and so on. Players that are basically proven and are a 90% assurity. Then take the gamble on the unproven Sanchez.
