I want to see more of him, the last two Europa League games, the FA Cup Third Round if we draw a minnow and maybe the League Cup too as we know he gets it and would be sufficiently motivated to hurt the Spammers.

The problem is that with our unimpressive performances it would be unfair to lump him with the burden of starting a Premier League game until we're properly up and running

More appearances for us.
Keep him in house around Soldado.
He played well last time out too.
Has matured well over the last year.
He's still very young.
In a years time when Jermain's freezing his bollocks off in Toronto
and Ade's departed he could be a a good second striker.

the lad can be a star if nutured properly....looks head and shoulders above the others in the England under 21 squad which says something about his skills and brain at this stage of his development i.e. he doesnt run around like a headless chicken

he isnt going to get experience watching games from the bloody bench :banghead:

I'm waiting for the huge brigade of Harry-haters who usually turn up and shout something like 'Championship player!' or 'Too slow and he's crap!' before scuttling off to hide under their rocks.

I've said it before but Kane's good enough to be a bench option for us already, and not just in the cups. He did a hell of a lot more than Defoe did and Defoe played about an hour more than him.

Kane is a solid young striker with a great eye for goal, a classy shot, and good feet He's not the fastest but he doesn't need to be as he plays around the D. I actually think he'd partner up with Soldado quite well if given the chance.

If we're not going to play Ade, as seems to be the case, then we need a forward option other than Soldado who is capable of doing something with the ball. Defoe does not work with our current system and frankly is like playing with ten men in games like this.

Kane didn't look up to it last season when he featured but the few times I've seen him this season for us and the under 21s, he has improved massively. Looks a lot stronger, composed on the ball and can finish.

I cba with Defoe's shoddy half arsed performances anymore ... I personally would play Kane in the Europa/Capital One Cup and put him on the bench in place of Defoe for the next couple of Prem games.

I'm just really pleased the kid to finally get a goal that mattered for us. He's been unlucky/hesitant previously. Shame that stupid little prick Defoe hand balled for the other one Kane took really well.

After todays performance i hope we see starts for him in Europa League and Captial One Cup ,as well as some cameo appearances in Prem.

If we decide to keep Ade in Jan, then i think Kane could benefit with regular first team football and be sent out on loan.
(Unless we reach final of captial one cup, in which case he stays :p)

He won't even be on the bench for the league games. Looked better tonight. Definitely stronger. Great shot then a good finish. Improved but think he'll go on loan.

Be interesting to see what AVB's approach to the West Ham game is.

If he's not going to start Soldado - and its between Defoe and Kane, although it probably won't even be a choice in AVB's mind in terms of who starts, Kane has done more than enough to get his chance in the next round by the sounds of it.

Imagine if he turns out like Berba, but he actually tries? Berba wasn't the quickest, but he could find the goal, and was good with the ball at his feet, and had buckets of composure, and he didn't even need to try.

I think he's a really clever player.

Simple and effective. He's a fantastic finisher too.

Amazed how many people have wrote him off already. Especially considering he's still only 20 and has continued to develop without any blips.

Trying to think of a suitable PL team for him if he were to go out on loan.

Hull don't play awful football and he'd be a better option than Graham and co.

Good call, they need a striker.

However, Defoe will probably kick up a fuss in Jan so he can get a WC place, and Ade is so out of favour I can't see him getting back in. We might need Kane ourselves.

He was definitely one the positives tonight. Shame that the only reason he came on was when Avb was forced into it through injury.

Actually having two strikers on the pitch (even though Kane wasn't playing as an orthodox CF ), along with a naturally right footed player on the right coincided with our most dangerous period of the game.
