I just hope with move to new stadium we can be more competitive wage-wise and are able to continue tweaking our squad to match Harry in quality and make it good enough to win titles.

We're continuing to move in the right way at the moment but do need to make sure we plug any gaps in squad (looking shakey at left back if Rose does go, midfield engine room is a slight worry with Dembele's ongoing fitness issues and also cover up top).

Now I've heard it all. (but this is SC, so probably not :D) The number of unprofessional people out there must be vast, I know it's not a popular onion, but it's actually probably true, if we don't start winning things, at some point, it's more likely than not that he will leave. Saying it doesn't speed it up, doesn't make it more likely and isn't agenda, it's just there and how it is, he isn't the first player they've said it about and he won't be the last.

Not saying it and/or ****ing off anyone who does, doesn't change a thing. Like everyone else, I hope he stays for the length of his career but, unless we start winning things, the odds are against it.

And I'm not entirely sure what professional code of conduct that's breaking. The reason so many people say it is because it's probably true. This mass denial that seems to be rampant on SC is like an Ostrich putting it's head in the sand or whatever it is that does that :D
I agree wholeheartedly and this isn't going to change anything but have some professionalism..........wait. Its Rooney. apologies.

Bit off-topic but always liked Khedira and would really like us to get a midfielder like him in summer - someone who is flexible and can play box to box or defensive midfield flawlessly.

Players like him are like gold dust.

Think it depends on how long he stays with us. If he left us within the next 2 years or so then i would say no.
If he's still with us until he's in his 30s and he's still banging them in then there is a very strong chance he'll be our best ever player.

Fair points.

However he already has (insert figure here) goals for us. Another 2 years and he may go close to doubling that.

If he is not our best ever player, is it Greaves or someone else.

One of those rare situations when the stars align in a sense. We needed a striker for what felt like a few years, Kane comes along needing a chance, that opportunity happens and as they say 'the rest is history.' It's pretty cool when you think about it, and I really think if we can start making some headway towards serious hardware, he's going to be around for many more years.
